Fire Prof I used to know a woman who did massage as a sideline and since she was also a nudist it wasn't a big deal to work on someone in the nude. But I suppose it would help to build up a regular sort of schedule before proposing this, get to know them etc.

I was always taught, and I always preach and practice, that having underwear on will constrict blood flow and can hinder a good massage. Also interferes with the ley lines, or chakra lines, or whaever else you want to call them (The path your energy follows if you believe in such things). They are very central teachings in acupressue and acupuncture.

I always tell people I massage that for the best results don't wear tight clothes or consticting underwear for atleast an hour before the massage, to help open up the blood flow (better to say blood flow then ley lines, they may think yer talking about somethin else ).

As far as covering. I always offer covering. Some do, some don't, and some change thier mind halfway through.

Papabare I see your point about blood flow, especially the masseuse is working on your muscle to promote blodd flow to bring away the wasteful acid in your body.

What surprised us on our first textile cruise, was the massage staff was all female european. They made a point of telling you after you showed up for your appointment to undress down to your underwear and to put on a robe.

It must have been some cruise ship policy to have you wear underwear during a massage.

It was my very first massage so I was a little nervous about it, so keeping my newly purchased cruise ship underwear on was not a big deal.

FireProf I think most cruise lines have a policy of non fraternization betten crew and passengers. probably having the patrons wear underware prevented contact with certain areas.

Kim you are right. I watched a show about cruise ships, and some cruise companies even forbid (written in contract) romances between the crew.

Bernie we went on a cruise and they told us that. I assume it is the same with most cruise lines.

Bad for business if there is a shipboard romance and it ends badly, or it doesnt end. The guest may not be inclined to come back.

I had a massage at a resort. and the masseuse put a towel between my legs. and said "the law states that she had to do this, But if I want I could remove it". I guess that makes it leagal.

Sundance36 I assumed there was a law or a reason for that.

I've been thinking about this topic a little as of late....

Our resort has a massage parlor right on the edge of it; I don't really know whether it is considered a part of it. However, I'm sure that they've had requests to give naturist massages and have followed through with them.

I found a few places online that do talk about naturist massages:
http://mysite.freeserve.com/nwalesmassage
http://www.naturistmassage.com/index2.htm
http://www.bodycentre.co.uk/ (not a whole lot here)
http://www.elixir-of-life.com/index.htm
http://www.euphoriaclub.co.uk/ (warning: hard-to-read)

I find it interesting that in these massages, the masseur or masseuse is nude as well. Apparently it levels the playing field and makes the client feel more at ease.

ahh...i love massages...
