I loved the ride and will do it again. The ride was a a real thrill. You could look down into the water that was so clear and see the bottom and the coral heads and fish. It was a blast hanging up in the air behind the boat. Coming back down was the scary part, but it was fun.

Sort of off topic, but does anyone know of a brand of sunscreen that is unscented? Everything I have ever bought has an extrememly strong scent of bananas, coconuts, etc. Thanks.

Paul DS I think all sun blocks have some sort of scent. I use Johnson&Johnson water babies, it doesn't have the fruity scents you were describing, but more of hand lotion type scent.

hi BGF
I am from India. Its quite normal here to be barefoot at home. And many times we ask our guests to take of shoes and socks so that he/she might feel comfortable and home. Ladies donot normally wear socks. They wear sandals. While men wear socks (and shoes) when out to office or gone to some formal fuction.
Well I feel like looking at beautiful female feet (for time pass)and can massage too.

In Hawaii, and most of Polynesia I think, it is tradition to leave your shoes at the door of your own or someone else's house. Even in some of the very nice hotels you can see a pile of shoes outside the door because locals don't feel comfortable wearing shoes in the house. Beaches, of course, are made for bare feet. However, with centipedes, broken glass, lava rocks, etc, not very many people here can be seen going bare foot all of the time. Slippahs are next to nothing and are the local footwear.

I may just add that in India, you have to leave your foor wear out at the door when you are entering any temple (place of worship).

Even here in the United States, many households require visitors to doff their shoes at the door. It's more sanitary and healthier if one has allergies; no pollen gets tracked in.
Many textiles appreciate getting their feet out of the leather coffins we call shoes. If only the realized that this feeling could be extended all the way up!

I never posted a follow up report on the possibility of having a pedicure at Club Orient when we went in June.
Well......I did! It was strange at first, but when the young lady that had just given my wife a facial a couple hours prior greeted me at the door of the spa by name and assured me that many of the men there at Club O have pedicures...I felt better and not so embarassed.
I never really paid much attention to it and my wife always commented that I really keep my feet in good shape for a guy. The young lady at the spa made the same comments that it was nice to do such nice feet on a man. I do have one problem....dry skin, so she gave me some lotion and told me what to buy and about applying the lotion a few times a day. I'm not real good about following those directions and will probably get told that in June '05 when we return and I return for another pedicure.
My wife's friend, who also does her hair, pedicures and manicures has said to my wife that she would do my pedicures but I think I'll keep that treatment to visits to Club Orient.
But I would do it again and would recommend having it done if any of you guys are thinking about it. I am extremely tickelish and thought I would not be able to have someone messing with my feet, but it didn't bother me at all. If you are thinking about it, do it, it's great.

Bare feet around the interior of your house whether it be on linoleum, slate, marble (cold), or a shag carpet is a feeling like no other. Walking on a carpet of plush grass is a sensation of its own, but if you live in a neighborhood with a lot (and I do mean a lot) of animals you need some soles of some sort

Bare feet are so comfortable :o) I don't know why anyone would wear shoes when they don't have to. I love being in my bare feet out in the wild even more. Grass and soil feel great! I leave shoes at home and go barefooting in the country.

Don't know why but my ankles seem to need the support that even sandals provide... Otherwise, I agree!
