Orient Beach is wonderful! Spent a day there, wishing we had more time. Rented an umbrella and two beach chairs for $15, had lunch in the restaurant along with some tropical drinks. Life doesn't get any better than this! Met a number of really nice people on the beach and sunning out on one of the rafts. So, we're planning to return for a full week, soon I hope.

I've only been to Orient Beach briefly, but would love to know more about it and other beaches in the area worth seeing. I'm planning to do some sailing in the area. Any advice is appreciated!

Orient Beach is great to visit, but after staying at Club Orient there we'd never go back. Lots of gawkers made my wife uncomforatable. Try sailing over to St. Barts. Dock in Gustavia, rent a car and go over to Gouvenier or Saline beaches. NONE of the tackiness of St. Maarten.

If you get up real early (about 0600) you can walk the entire Orient beach nude. Some like to jog. From stone to stone, the entire beach both nude and textile!! It's a great walk and by the time you get back the French bakery truck has delivered fresh pastry at the Club Orient Store. Purchase some goodies, then go back to your Club "O" Villa for breakfast and plan another hard day on the beach. The best time to do this is January or February. You get bits of news about the cold weather back home and you just smile as you apply some SPF-30 to your nose. My Gawd...it's a tough job but somebody's got to do it.

Wife and I are looking into going to Club Orient latter this year and have enjoyed reading what everybody had to say about the place. This will be our first trip outside the US to a nudist club and want very much to make it an enjoyable one. We will continue to research more about the club but it looks like at this point we will do it. Can't wait. Thanks again everyone who posted for your input.

Well...we have about 21 days and counting. We are off to Club Orient. First timers, really excited about the trip, except for trying to pack carry ons. We don't need much at Club O but the next week we are on the east coast and will need some clothes.
When we return I will post a report for those thinking about a trip there or those getting ready to depart after our return.
We also plan on taking the Tiko Tiko nude cruise for the day.

We also will be experiencing Club Orient for the first time in September. We are both looking forward to it and will be looking to seeing Fireprof's trip report. We are very interested in learning from their exposure, no pun intended, to Club O. Have a good time Fireprof and we hope everything works out great for you.

FrankandDeb,
We will do our best to have that good time! I will be posting a trip report on this and a few other BB's that we post on.
Anything in particular you want me to scope out while we're there?

We're thinking of trying Club Orient, and have been reading about it all day... We notice room rates are cheapest Aug - Oct... presumably off season.
If we go in Off Season, what can we expect? Hurricanes?
Can we expect a lot of sun pretty much all year, or is there really a period in which we should not go?
We want to bake, drink and bake. Then drink. Swim and bake, and drink again.

Tis the hurricane season. We made reservations for Antigua and a week later the island was closed due to a hurricane for about 5 months so we went to Aurba. Our hotel went from 9 stories to 6 stories. Hurricane season June tru Nov. Watch the weather channel. If I was you I'd go. They give plenty of warning.

Where can a couple go for nude sunbathing, swimming in clear waters, snorkling nude, decent food and drink -- during August through October? if not then, then when's better?
We've never been to a nude resort. We're not swingers and we're not going to be, either. But we enjoy naturalism. Any tips people?

I wouldn't put of a vacation worrying about a hurricane that may or may not happen. There is a nude resort in BonAire close to Aruba that should not have any hurricanes. Also if you are just trying out nudisum Couples Resort in Jamacia is a good choice. It gives you the best of both worlds. Nude sunbathing clear water and good food and drinks.
