a agree with Rodders! There is a huge difference between the two forms..... only to add that it really depends on the person who is veiwing the photos and their personal take on it.
clothing... completely optional!

Personnaly, I guess there is nothing wrong with taking pictures. It's about nudism here. So what's the matter. As you guys said, as long as it's not olely on the genital parts, its fine. Taking a picture of someone nude in a natural area is absolutely nice.

I am not a nudist/naturist but it does seem appealing.
This topic though caught my eye because of a homework assignment. I am in a community college and in my English class our first assignment was to write 5 definitions on one word and now our second is to take that word and create an argumentative/persuasive essay. I had happened to choose the word nude.
I have a battle of topics and I need some immediate help if you all do not mind. I was thinking of this controversy of whether or not nude pictures as you guys see it is legally considered porn. But then I thought I would narrow it to the children since child pornography is illegal.
I need something that is reputable and I thought it would be a great idea to get some updated opinions from you guys..."the naturists themselves" as well as giving it my own opinion.
Please and Thank You! This will help me greatly. My rough draft is due this thursday and it is almost Tuesday but I can incorporate your opinions in my final draft since it is due the Thursday after next.

And for those who enjoy looking at those pictures, Good for you. As for myself I don’t have a problem with Pic’s of myself nude but the Mrs. that’s another story lol. I'm a happily married Retired Vietnam Vet (60 yrs young) who enjoys life. Brooklyn_bada_bing@yahoo.com

I have in the past, taken nude photos of myself and shared them with close girl friends who had also shared nude pics with me.
However, I still have some issues with photographing my whole body, as I'm somewhat overweight and have body hair. Whenever I do take pics of myself nude for the hell of it, it's usually from the waist down...though it's still difficult for me NOT to have an erection when I take a nude pic, lol.

Nicely put Brooklyn Life is too short. There is nothing wrong in taking and showing of photos of nude people. It is the context that they are taken in and what they are used for that makes the difference. A full length pic of male or female on a beach or next to the pool or even relaxing in ones own home is a naturist pic in my mind. If there is a sexual conatation to the photo then it is not. Perhaps we will see a pic of you as your avatar.

There is a line between nudism and porn.
A nudist is a person or persons who enjoy being nude, no clothes to hender their movements and not afraid for others see them that way.
Porn is when one or more persons have went past the point of nudism to the point of sexual behavior, all matters of sex, from oral to intercourse.
It's on thing to touch someone on the butt or boobs or penis, it's another to getting right down to sexual activites.

hello Melissa and everybody!
For me Porn and Nudism have no connection what so ever,... but if you sell or distribute your nude pictures then you contribute to the porn industry. I have nothing against erotic photography and nude erotic photography and i have taken photos like that of my self of my gf. But i would never sell them , or trade them or give them to people that they are not 100% friends of mine that are also nudists and with the same mentality as me. I hate people who lack politeness and ask for nude pictures and are also persistant.

I went to the Desert Reef Hot Spring and went up to the meditation path on a hill outside. While walking around, my wife took several nude pictures of me, nothing pornographic about it, it was just good fun. Although after seeing the pictures, I start my diet today.

We have taken lots of photo's of each other over the years. Its good to look back and re-live the memory of when and where they were taken. Due to our jobs we do not publish any photos on the net but we do have albums that friends look at from time to time.
All of the photos I am talking about are taken when we are nude, indoors, outdoors and one or two from a few years ago in public places. A few could, loosly speaking, be classed as mildly pornographic. Photos with the wifes legs open whilst sunbathing and some with me in differing stages of arousal. These photo's are strictly for our eyes only, well maybe a couple of close friends have seen some of them. They are what I have previously said a record of times past to look back on and either smile or cringe but without them all you have is your memory and with age that can start to fail so I am pleased we have taken the photos we have.
Spread the word.. nude is best. Bob..

Quite a few years ago I friend asked me if, as a nudist and keen photographer I took pictures of people naked. I said that I did and indeed had a pretty full record of my naturist friends and of course my wife. He seemed a bit amused by this. Now, he often says that he regrets not having kept a nude record of his wife over the years and she feels the same. As I look at the pictures now I am so very glad that there is a record of not only of my wife and friends old & new but also the odd one of me nude at various stages. I recall one set my wife took of me on the island of Formetera after a long period of dieting on my part and having seen them again recently have now (like mugwert) serious thoughts about cutting down on the beer. That guy in Formentera certainly looks a lot younger than the old one in the shaving mirror every morning. So to any naturist, I say take the pictures now and I think you might well be very pleased you did later. Just make them natural, semi-posed if at all and you'll have a record not only of your lifestyle but a very special set of images that increase in their nostalgic value year by year. If we thought the human body should be hidden away then we wouldn't be nudists.

Taking pictures is just like any other vacation picture, except your nude. And you may not want to show them to grandma:)
