Cheri,
I'm sorry to hear that your husband needs surgery. Hope the doctors will do everything just right. It's amazing what they can do compared to decades ago. I've had 3 surgeries so far, and the doctors did fine.
Your husband will be up and at 'em very soon. Let us know how things are going for him. He has a great wife, and that sure helps!!

jerseysomething, Here in SC to teach at a Junior college, you need a Masters Degree unless you've got a professional degree such as a J.D. or M.D.

I just hope his blood pressure is within limits on Tuesday so they can do it. It was supposed to be this past Tuesday, but the bp was too high for them to start, and they sent us home.
Thanks everyone, for your well wishes. You'll see me posting a little less here for a while. Cheri

Cheri my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your husband. My own troubles seem small and insignificant when compared to that.

Cheri...
I believe it is the same in New Jersey. By the way, all the best to you and your husband during this difficult time.

Thanks Cheri for the instructions on the chat room. I just missed the bulk of the chat, but was up and running to catch it for a few minutes. If you need a new career, you could write instructions on how to use programs.
Thanks again, Cheri.
Sorry I missed you. We had some horrific thunder storms last evening. Hopefully next week will be calmer. My husband is having surgery next Tues., not sure if I'll just open the room and leave it open. :) Cheri

Next time I go to the chat, it will be on time -- I promise!! (trying to be a good boy). I'm not sure about next Tuesday; I might be at a nudist resort, although they might be a bit empty after Labor Day has come and gone. Quiet is nice, too. Nudestock will be around the 14th or so of September, I might go and find some other introverted folks, who knows? There will be very many people there at Laguna Del Sol.
Cheri, you'll just have to move out to California to get away from that humidity and those thunderstorms. If you don't mind the ground jiggling every decade or so. Haha. When I was a young teenager, my family and I traveled across the country, and it was the first time I had known that there was this thing called humidity, east of the Rockies. Washington D.C. was almost too much to take, weatherwise. Getting on and off the air-conditioned tourbus in July was an experience!!!
While in the mountains last weekend, the humidity was only 19%. OOPS, I'm off topic. See you on the hopefully next chat room.

Cheri,
Yeesh ... blood pressure has to be pretty darn high, and remain so after some mild sedation, for me to cancel a case. But poorly controlled hypertension is a risky proposition, and I'm glad it's being addressed.
Y'know ... what we really need to do is open a clothing-optional surgical center at - -. You can run the business office, I'll do the anesthesia, and we'll get pilot to operate. His wife can run the lab. Then we can recruit nurserobin to staff the place, remodel - -Tom's casita into an O.R., and presto! We're in business. What better place to recuperate? Plus there's the added benefit of giving - - some badly needed "respectable" trade. I don't see a downside here.
