This reminds me of the old story .........
Fred was sunbathing naked in his garden when the lady next door glanced out of her upstairs bedroom window and saw him .... she screamed, called the police and had him charged with indecency.
A few days later Fred glanced out of his bedroom window and saw his neighbour sunbathing topless in her garden. She glanced up at the same time, saw Fred looking out of his window, screamed, called the police and had him charged with being a Peeping Tom.
(There's just no justice in the world)

I'm thinking of trying sheer drapes. They will give the illusion I'm not putting on a show but, still let in some light. Not I that stand in front of the windows. It is just that I will be walking past them much more often then before. My neighbors have all seen me do yard work in a g-string. So, I"m not too worried about them. There is some foot traffic during the day but, not much. The miniblinds maybe an option, too. I had pull shades on the front windows before.

After 2 weeks of "naked" windows I got the shear drapes up. They give the effect of tinted windows. As I work nights and am seldom down stairs in the evening, I think they will work. I will need to remember not to turn on too many lights before dressing for work.

Not to divert the topic but can really rough windows be used similar to those of some shower doors or bathroom windows to let in some of the light but to act as a semi-blind even if there is a faint outline. Would this be enough?
Currently I have my blinds closed because all the windows face the neighbors around me and so far no problems.

Nobody lives behind us so no worries there. Front drapes are usually closed all of the time anyway. So I just nekkid away all day.

I find it odd that anywhere in the US if you peek in on someone's private property/life you can have THEM charged with a crime. Time to change the laws, or what?

We are pretty lucky the way our house is as very few windows face the road, so the blinds in front makes no matter, in back though we have a privacy fence on the two sides, but not the back yet, the house there was vacant for years and did not worry about that, now that some one has moved in, I have put blinds on our patio, as we spend a lot of time there. And are working on plans for finishing the privacy fence across the back. But in saying all this I still like to have my smoke in the buff each morning on the patio, don't bother to lower the blinds, its very early.

I live at the top of a culdesac and its where everyone turns there cars around. We have no blinds on the front window just curtains which are never drawn during the day. We are out at work during the week so no problem, at weekends I am nude at home and any one could look in and see right through to the back of the house but I have never had anyone complain. Most of the neighbours know I am a nudist so that is probably the reason I've had no complaints.
Spread the word.. nude is best. Bob..

I have a very pretty neighbor who told my wife & me she goes naked in her house all the time. Her shades are always down. Our shades are up & if she were to look in & see me naked I'm sure she would understand. As far as the other neighbors, most would be ok with it.

We have some sheers over our window in the front of the house and they work during the day but we are careful at night when we have the lights on.
If you have any question if you can see in your house go outside and look for yourself.

Wife and I live in a rural area, with just two homes within sight of our house. There's a stand of trees between us and one house, and the other is several hundred yards away. There isn't a single shade or blind anywhere in the house ...we prefer the natural light and the fantastic views from most rooms in the house. We both wander around nude each morning and frequently at other times of the day (and evening). Since I'm retired, I am home a lot and almost never wear a thing during the day. I don't give the windows a thought. Neither of us give any thought to "being see." I doubt it's possible from either neighboring house, and I doubt anyone would see anything they had not already seen if they did.

Soxfan, I don't see a problem with as much seperation as you have from your neighbors as long as you don't have a main road going next to your house. The road is the only issue we have and that wasn't an issue till we had some neighbors build out past our house. One advantage of living on a Dead End road. :-)

Luckily I don´t have a problem at all, although there are villas at the back of me they are let out for holidays only and even then, with people in the villas, there are trees between me and them. I am also on a corner with the other side being over open land, although I could not use one of my balcony´s nude. The main balcony I can use nude most of the time and if I put a parasol strategicaly placed, can use it nude all the time.
