I'm very happy with my full grown pubic hair. Must be there for some reason, but I think if it's there, it looks good. Now, I wish I could say the same thing about my face, but I am learning to like it, too.

I have found a local salon that does male brazilians and I had one. They use special wax to do the scrotum. It really didn't hurt that much. The results were fantastic...really smooth. The only problem is you need to have it done about once a month.

I am an Aesthetician and know more than a little bit about waxing, depilatories (cremes) laser and shaving. None of them are the best but in my opinion shaving with a specially designed body hair shaver is 99% of the answer for both sexes.

Laser hair removal is way too expensive for most people an it can be painful and cause hypergimentation of the skin as can the depilatory cremes. Waxing is just plain painful and again far from ideal as it can cause infections in the hair follicle if not done properly. It can also be expensive to keep on doing this.

My recommendation is shaving provided it is a proper pubic/body hair removal shaver and not just a face shaver (like many lady shavers) which have very agressive foil patterns.

My advice ifyou want to bare or partially smooth as in Brazilian wax, check out The Seiko Cleancut or the Hair eRazor. The Hair eRazor has the best price and a 30 day satisfaction guarantee but judge for yourself. HairRemovalShavers dot com or hairerazor dot com.

I stopped doing waxings for my clients years ago and I use a shaver now. I prefer however to concentrate on facials and makeovers.

I've just started getting waxed. I found a beautician who specialises in male genital waxing. She does a fantastic job - very thorough. She waxes everything off including above the penis, scrotum, perineum, between the buttocks and around the anus. My wife's had her pubic hair permanently removed now so she asked me to get waxed in return. There's some pain involved but it's definitely worth it for the results!

Hello,

I have tried all methods. The problem is that
shaving does not eliminate the hair, it just
thickens it (as in your beard). Wife gets
hurt when this happens since her skin is very
sensible in her inner labia.

Waxing on your scrotum can be risky and painful, as I have pulled pieces of skin.

In both methods the hair grows back, with the
associated problem of ingrown hairs which result
in itching and bumps which end up getting irritated easily.

My solution was Laser. I bought the 6
session package. After the fourth
session (one per month) the skin is like a baby's. The hair kept getting shed and
the new hair kept getting thinner. Dr.
claims that after the last session I will
not see hair again for at least a couple
of years, since she was honest to specify
that Laser is almost never a definitive
solution forever. One tip is to
take a couple of Advils so the rubber-band
snapping sensation created by the laser
triggers on the sensible skin is less
intense.

Best thing I could have done to solve that,
worth the money. Additionally my
sensitiveness on the skin all along
my penis and scrotum increased favorably.

I use a product called Magic. It is a powder that comes in a small can. You can get it at Walgreens for about $2.50 Works great everywhere. Never had any issues in those sensative areas.

I have tried various methods for around the genital area including shaving waxing and depilatory cream I must say waxing gave the best results with a technitian who knows what they are doing and who takes their time the process is tolerable and the results are the best

Good luck infinding the right technician

I started off shaving and got tired of the constant maintenance. I found a salon that would do the waxing, so I started waxing the pubic area, excluding the scrotum. The personnel in the salon changed and I was told that I was allergic to the wax and they would not do me. What a cop out, instead of saying that they do not do male pubic area.

I found a new salon and the aesthetician told me that she could do the scrotum with a sugar wax. This was fine for years, but the pain and discomfort seemed too much so I saved my pennies and opted for the LASER.

I got the pubic, scrotum, anal and inter thigh areas done. I am somewhat pleased with the out come. If you decide to have this done I would recommend that you not go to the expense of having the scrotum done. The LASER technician/sales staff will tell you that the LASER has a problem with light hair (blonde or gray) and dark skin. I do not have dark skin, but the scrotum is darker than the rest of me, even with a tan. If you have been tanning then you need to wait until the tan is lighter. I started the treatment in October, so by the time that I was finished with the 6 treatments (1 month apart), I was pretty light tan. My disappointment is that the scrotum stills needs to be waxed more that I would think it should.

Back to the waxing – I have had the sugar wax and the hot wax on the scrotum and I like the hot wax better. I fell that there is less pain. With the sugar there is a slight pain when being applied and more pain when being removed. The hot wax only has the pain while being removed. I now wax everything from the neck to the toes, excluding the arms and arm pits.

Back to the salon – they now have 4 aestheticians on staff that perform male pubic waxing. When I started there was only one. I guess that it is becoming more popular. I have been waxed by each of the 4 aesthetician and there is a difference in techniques. I have one that is my favorite and if I can I try to make an appointment with her. Making an appointment is very important. If you just show up you could have a couple of problems.

First – if the aesthetician is busy or not in that day you will have to wait or come back.
Second – they do not keep the wax hot from sun up to sun down, so you will have wait for the wax to get hot (~30 minutes).
Third – respect. Do you think that the aesthetician are just sitting around waiting for you to come see them.

Ok, I see this is an old thread, but I've been sugared; usually before a Bare Necessities cruise. The Sugar Shack close to me, does a men's Brazilian for $55. The rest of the time, I shave. I think it hurts the most in the pubic region....but my asthetician rolls the sugar on, rips it off, then puts her hand over the area for a bit, and the pain goes away. I've had six of them so far, and if it was that much pain, I wouldn't go back. I just find that the hairs grow back too soon after having it done, so I usually just shave. And also, while sugaring my scrotum, she did draw some blood, but it stops. ;)

I've been getting genital waxing, what's now referred to as Brasilian, for some years. I wouldn't go back to shaving unless absolutely impossible to find wax or sugar!

Hi

Can anyone tell me, please, what to ask for in English? In French, I'd ask for a "maillot", or swimsuit. That's the word for men and for women. But, in English, do men talk of a "bikini" waxing, like the women?

Leo,

If you just want the pubic hair that would show if you were wearing a bikini or thong then you ask for a "Bikini Wax" If you want everything done then you ask for a "Brazilian Wax". This sometimes includes the scrotum. In between you might ask for a "Landing Strip" which leaves a little hair just above the penis and could or could not include the scrotum. Variations on the landing strip are hearts shapes and anything else that you might think of.

I fully oppose guys being waxed as well as women, I think the trend should change from shaved being no longer the in thing to do, go back to natural pubic hair you know when we looked like grown ups down there... :)
