What are you, and what aren't you allowed to do during march at the white cockatoo? (is "no cameras" the only rule?)
What can you do in March that you cant do during the nudist season?
Cheers

From The New Zealand Herald - Friday March 6, 2009
Nudists give couple bum's rush 4:00AM Friday Mar 06, 2009 By Greg Ansley
CANBERRA - Someone was definitely not the kind of fun, cool, calm, smart, sassy and social soul the White Cockatoo was seeking to flesh out its "anything goes" swingers' month.
Fully-clothed Gold Coaster John Harrison, 55, and his wife Lyn were out on their ears after a confrontation with a group of naked women that saw police called to the far north Queensland resort.
Apparently, the women objected to Harrison remaining clothed while they exposed all, despite the rules for the month proclaiming that clothing was optional.
Resort owner Tony Fox agreed, amid mutual harsh words.
Harrison told Brisbane times.com.au that Fox had called him a "d...head".
"He threatened to bash me," Fox retorted.
Hardly the cool image that the White Cockatoo, near Port Douglas, has been promoting in its three-season programme of adults-only March, conventional family resort from April to September, and strictly nudes only between October and December.
Nor is it the kind of publicity that the resort needed for the resumption of swingers' sessions that ended in 2005 following a series of over-the-top sex romps.
More restrained guests had been exposed to a couple in their 50s displaying their libido on a balcony, while others had been propositioned by a woman seeking group sex. Police had also been called to close down an orgy in one of the resort's chalets.
"[We] will openly admit to being wrong in parts of our method of operation ... and certainly way off base in what we thought was a good marketing strategy," Fox later wrote on the resort's website.
Fox and his wife and co-owner Lenore, both long-time nudists and conditioned to being propositioned at other nude venues, figured swingers were just a normal part of the market.
In extending a welcome to what they promoted as "Australia's premier nudist resort", they believed swingers would respect other non-swinging guests.
They were asked to indicate their preferences so discreet introductions could be made to like-minded people.
"How wrong we were," the couple wrote. "Not only have swingers stayed here without indicating their lifestyle choice [but] many of those have blatantly disregarded the most important rule this resort has: 'no means no'."
Swingers were no longer welcome at the resort's nude seasons.
But late last year the resort decided to spice up increasingly gloomy economic times with a return to an "anything goes" March.
"We're not using the words 'sex' or 'swingers', but it doesn't take rocket science to work out what it means," Fox told Brisbane's Courier-Mail.
With strong demand expected to pump A$500,000 ($640,000) into the local economy over a month that the resort warned would definitely not be for "prudie nudies, judgmental fools, indiscreet individuals, or locals".
The rules were simple: use towels on all seats, shower before swimming in the pool, no cameras, no illicit drugs, no public sexual activities and no visitors. Clothing was optional.
But trouble broke out when Harrison appeared fully-dressed while waiting for his wife before dining out.
Four naked women apparently complained to Fox, who was then confronted by the group.
"Fox turned to me out of the blue and said 'why are you dressed?'," Harrison told brisbanetimes.com.au.
"He then said 'well, I think you're being disrespectful to these women by being dressed'.
"He then stormed away and said 'stop being a d...head'."
Fox said he had ordered Harrison out of the resort and called police after Harrison threatened to bash him.
"The four females and myself, and everybody else, without exception, [were] nude and he walked up to me with a beer in his hand," Fox said.
"I only asked him to show a bit of respect."
For Harrison, the White Cockatoo was a bit of a bummer.
From cairns.com.au - Thursday, March 5, 2009
Naked eye spies not enough skin Ben Blomfield Thursday, March 5, 2009 © The Cairns Post Kicked out: Lyn and John Harrison were evicted from The White Cockatoo after a row over being clothed.
TOURIST John Harrison was evicted from a Mossman nudist resort after a bare-all argument with the owner for not showing enough skin.
Mr Harrison and his wife Lyn, from the Gold Coast, arrived at the White Cockatoo on Sunday for a week's stay at the month-long sex party.
The Harrisons' seven days of fun were cut short on Tuesday night after an argument with owner Tony Fox led to their eviction.
Mr Fox believed Mr Harrison's decision to wear clothes while waiting for his wife to get dressed before going out to dinner was "disrespectful" to bare-bummed guests.
After an attire argument erupted, Mr Fox gave Mr Harrison his marching orders, having his staff pack their bags and put them at reception while they were at dinner.
Mr Harrison, 55, said he was told to leave after the argument.
"Mr Fox asked me why I was dressed in front of other people and claimed it was disrespectful," he said.
"He then stormed away and said 'Stop being a f…head'."
Mr Fox said Mr Harrison threatened to punch him and claimed he was entitled to evacuate guests who used such behaviour.
"The four females and myself and everybody else ... everybody without exception was nude and he walked up with a beer in his hand fully clothed," Mr Harrison said.
"Any guest on my property ... threatening the host behind my back will be evicted, no host would tolerate that kind of behaviour."
On the White Cockatoo website, clothing is optional for the month of debauchery.
Police were called to the resort that night, and Mrs Harrison was escorted to her room to claim her purse which was not in her bags.
Police are not investigating the matter.

Tourist kicked out of nudist resort for keeping clothes ON By Richard Shears Last updated at 1:47 PM on 05th March 2009
A tourist has been kicked out of a sex-and-swingers nudist resort - for keeping his clothes ON.
John Harrison, 55, checked into the White Cockatoo resort in north Queensland for a week's stay during the month-long sex party.
But when he walked into the bar with his clothes on four naked women enjoying their evening cocktails were so upset that he wasn't stripped down that they complained to the manger - who then ordered him and his wife Lyn to leave.
John Harrison and his wife Lyn claim they were kicked out of The White Cockatoo nudist colony for keeping their clothes on Resort owner Tony Fox told Mr Harrison that wearing clothes was 'disrespectful' to the other 'bare-bummed' guests.
An argument erupted and Mr Fox told Mr Harrison and his wife they had to go.
'Mr Fox asked me why I was dressed in front of other people,' Mr Harrison told the Cairns Post. 'He claimed it was disrespectful.
'Then he stormed away and swore at me.'
But Mr Fox hinted today that Mr Harrison was telling a bare-faced lie.
The reality was, he said, that Mr Harrison had threatened to punch him during the row over whether or not he should be walking around with his clothes on.
'I'm entitled to evacuate guests who use such behaviour,' said Mr Fox.
'The four females and myself and everybody else...everybody, without exception, was nude and he walked up with a beer in his hand fully clothed.
'I only asked him to show a bit of respect.
'It was not the appropriate situation or circumstance for him to be fully dressed standing there with those ladies when they were so obviously upset about the fact that he was there.'
He claimed that the naked women believed they were being gaped at by the fully-clothed guest.
When the argument subsided, Mr Harrison and his wife went out to dinner but found on their return that their bags had been packed by the staff and had been left in the reception area.
As a further argument loomed, police were called.
Mrs Harrison was escorted to her room to claim her purse which was not in her bags.
The White Cockatoo's website said that clothing was optional for the month of debauchery and boasts that 'almost anything goes.'

There are too many stories like this for it to lack foundation, I'm inclined to believe that Tony Fox is a rude and unpleasant man, probably very nice if you do exactly as he wants, but try doing something he doesn't like and you'll see the sharp side of his tongue.
He also wants to make up his mind what sort of resort he's running, nudist or swinger.

Wow ... one look at that fun couple makes me want to start swinging immediately!
On the other hand, maybe the Harrisons were lucky to get kicked out of TWC. Look at what's headed for the resort.

"use towels on all seats, shower before swimming in the pool, no cameras, no illicit drugs, no public sexual activities and no visitors. Clothing was optional." Is that an accurate portrayal of the March rules?
"No Public sexual activities", so how is that "almost anything goes"?
I don't understand what is different during march compared to normal nudist season for this resort.

Wasn't that their "before" photo for the new Swinger Diet plan?

Uhm, there is no difference is the only conclusion that could be arrived at. It seems the "swinger" theme is just a marketing ploy.
In defence of White Cockatoo, no news source seems to be able to provide a consistent story (3 or 4 women? Walking past or waiting? Dickhead or f***head? Who threatened who etc). And Mr Harrison and his partner are the only people evicted (so far) this month.
However, as usual, White Cockatoo's owner appears to have over reacted and shown all the subtlety and class of a nuclear bomb.

They are two separate things. Both are niche markets. You then have the smaller niche of people who are both nudists and into swinging.
The only thing I can see different with White Cockatoo's march period is that there are no kids there.
So can you shag in the open during March? What does "almost anything goes" mean? According to some here, its just empty marketing.

It was most unfortunate that John Harrison, the bloke & wife evicted, was the oldest and ugliest person here at the time who then went to the media himself and provided photos and personal details of and about himself and his wife, with headlines everywhere announcing: Swingers / Sex Couple / f****** Fool. Last heard of was sad and lonely in disgrace. Over-reaction by me? lmao Over-reaction by him that he will live to regret? Undoubtedly!!!
All lifestyles are different, and certainly swingers and nudists are sometimes separate, but also sometimes same ;-)
But keeping it simple and straight with no hidden marketing ploys is not too difficult.
Educating the simple that there are different seasons here is!
But... In an effort to do so... Our site clearly show there are distinct differences www.thewhitecockatoo.com
The White Cockatoo Has Three Distinct Seasons with Three Different Methods of Operation:
Currently Until 1st October '09 - The White Cockatoo is operating as a Fully Clothed Conventional Family Resort. http://www.thewhitecockatoo.com/twcFacilities.html
From 1st October '09 - The White Cockatoo will Operate Primarily as a Nudist Resort - Not Clothing Optional. http://www.thewhitecockatoo.com/aboutus.html
From 29th December '09 Until 31st March '10 - Adults Only - Almost Anything Goes. http://www.thewhitecockatoo.com/AdultsOnly.html
Like I said.... It's simple really but for those still struggling: It is essential to clearly understand the differences between the three available seasons and choose the one that best suits you. The seasons do not overlap in any way, and are totally distinct in all methods of operation, and confusion could lead to disappointment.
Cheers
