Don't worry about it. I'm sure your internet provider would have to get hundreds if not thousands of complaints about a site before classifying it as spam.

Two things: Happy and sad.
First, the good news. My sign-on problem seems to be solved. But all credit goes to Admin, for finding out what's been going on, and helping me solve it.
Now for the bad news. Forgive me if this sounds sappy. Today I will lose my best friend-my cat. She is very old and very frail, and I can't let her suffer. She is almost completely blind, and has very poor balance. In the last two days, she has become barely able to walk. She has a limp in her hind legs, and I believe she may have had a small stroke.
She has been my best friend for 18 years. When my wife and I used to share the same bed, the cat would climb in and get between us and snuggle me and try to push the wife away. She could have snuggled up to my other side, but she didn't want to share me. My wife told me she would go sit up in the octaganal window in the bedroom and watch for me to come home 1/2 hour before I arrived every day. I would see her there as I came up the driveway, and when I opened the door, she was there waiting. When I was in the shower, she was sitting on the edge of the tub waiting for me to get out. Untill recently, when she couldn't even get up on my bed anymore, she would always sleep with me. I would always fall asleep petting her and I remember times when I was so tired I couldn't. But I felt her stroking my arm with her paw, petting me as I fell asleep. The great thing about a beloved pet is that they love you unconditionally. They love you for what you are. Don't care what you look like, how well you dress, or what you have. I've sometimes lamented, "Ah, to have such devoted love from a human female would be great."

Thank You. The act is done. It's the hardest thing I've ever had to do. She fell asleep in my arms. She doesn't hurt anymore. Now I do.

Randy, Only a sensitive person would be heartbroken over the loss of a cat. I'm glad to know there are a lot of us around, and I certainly feel for you and your cat. You can feel good about having her for 18 years, which is a long time for any pet, but don't ever let anybody tell you to not feel bad because "she was just a cat." You have our sympathy.

Thanks, Kona Don. I won't. Even my wife is sympathetic. I feel as bad as I've felt about any person I've lost. Randy

We share your pain Randy. We've lost loving pets as well and know how hard it is even if it isn't understandable to some.
Here's a story for you, maybe make you feel a little better.
My mother became very sick and began her journey to heaven. When she was in the hospital, waiting for the ambulance ride home for her last few days, myself, my wife and my dad were by her side. She began to point to various points in the room telling us that she saw people that had already passed. Along with those people, an aunt, uncle and her mother, she saw the family dog she had loved so much and took care of for 17 years.
So maybe you will see your cat again...in not the not too distant future we hope, we like having you around.

Thanks Andy. I really appreciate your (and eveyone's), kind thoughts and words.
I've often wondered. Although we are taught that animals don't have a soul, I wonder if we will have some of the good things we enjoyed on earth with us in Heaven. Not that we will need them, I think that there will be better than we can imagine there, but why not?

animals in a lot of cases are like part of the family, and when one has been part of your life for so long there is a sense of loss.
the cat lived a long time, partly because of good genes and partly beause of the love and care you gave to fluffy.
i find that the way people treat their animals in many cases will tell you a lot about how they act in everyday life.
my condolences. you have lost a good friend.

Randy, I know what you're going through. I love my cats very much. We now have 4. When I lost my Beauty (formal name Lady Tibbs), I was miserable. A few months later, we got Sunshine & Sylvestra from the Humane Society. Sunshine had difficulty when Melissa visited, the cat didn't like her since Melissa took away the attention from Sunshine.
When one of us isn't feeling well, Sunshine, Pandora, Sylvestra, Teva all try to comfort us. Teva has become the "scout". When one of the cats who has been outside, appears at the back door, Teva lets us know. :) Cheri

Randy, sorry for my belated condelences (I was out of town for the weekend). I am glad that fluffy left the world in your arms--what a wonderful way for her to leave the world Your words were full of passion; very sensitive and loving.

Hi all. Today, my son and I are leaving for a week-long trip to the Badlands & the Black Hills of South Dakota. I may or may not have access to plug in my laptop to the internet. If so, I'll check in with 'yall. If not, I'll see you later.
When I get back, I leave for Miami-finally!
