No Topic Needed In This Thread - Topic-Free Zone
There was a good suggestion for an "off topic" topic, where the Admin won't gripe at you for ignoring the subject!
And so, drum roll please, the moment we have been waiting for has finally arrived! In this thread, and this thread only, it matters not what the subject is, nor if there was a subject in the first place. We'll soon be swimming in spaghetti, but here goes!

Thanks for the kudos. BTW, There are 2 photos of me in the current issue of the Bulletin. 2nd one is under South Carolina club news. I guess the photos were too much for an ex-beau from when I was single and lived in Okla. He's now living in FL and left an answering machine message on my phone yesterday. LOL :)Hugs, Cheri

I called back yesterday, but there but he wasn't in. I'm happily married and have no desire to hookup again with him. I was just being polite in returning the call. :)
Hugs, Cheri

I have a question about using the forum: I sometimes don't log off so that I can come back later without going through the sign-in process. Occasionally I forget to log-off at all and turn off my computer. When I come back the next morning, I'm still signed-on. Is this a bad idea? Even though I've shut off my computer and internet connection, would this allow unauthorized access to my forum name or any other problems?

Great question Randy. As a newbie I'd appreciate an answer to it as well. Recently I 'think' I had some sort of computer malady which virtually took control of my laptop.

there are a number of free programs that you can use for spyware/trojans and the like.
ad-aware 6.0 / spybot 1.3/ no trace/ lpus activate your security system (there are several: Norton,Avast,McAfee), and update your security system at least every other day.
if you have windows, have them download critical updates automatically.
and yes, not logging off could put you at risk if you're not on a secure connection.

The short answer to your technical question is no, you should have no trouble staying logged on between visits.
Every time you attempt to do something with the board, the system checks to see if your cookies are in proper order, and what state you are in login-wise. That's why cookies are a necessary part of posting here. They also guarantee you are who you are supposed to be.

Good. That's what I thought, but wasn't sure. I know that if you keep your internet connection open for extended periods without a firewall you are vulnerable on the internet. But I was unsure if after closing the internet connection but still being logged in here, I might be vulnerable to people visiting the forum.

Talking about chatting...hope y'all can make it tonight and every Tues. using paltalk. We can be found after 8pm at Groups/Adult - Meet New Friends - Nudist Resort
If you don't have PalTalk, a very small program, you can download it at www.paltalk.com

You probably won't be hearing much from me in the future. I have been constantly plagued by the fact that I have a similar internet address to an abuser of this site. I've grown weary of spending 10 minutes to make the corrections to my computer each time I want to log in.
