Not just when you're naked; I mean being barefoot when you have to do various things in a textile area. I like being barefoot, but I live in NYC so the terrain here is more unpleasant than I would like to deal with most of the time. It's fine in the suburbs. Were the terrain better, I would still be reluctant because I would feel weird. It's a feeling I plan to defeat with practice though.

I like being barefooted. Remain barefooted inside the house almost all the time. For whatever cause, wearing shoes is uncomfortable so I usually just wear sandals out of doors. My feet are not tough enough for most outdoor walking.

When I took my shoes off, I liked being barefoot so much, I just keep going.

I love going barefoot at home, and I slip my shoes off whenever possible at work. The only time that I wear slippers at home is when the floors (hardwood floors throughout the house) are too cold during the really cold months of winter.

Your feet are already slightly tougher if you're barefoot at home all the time. They can adapt quickly to outdoors unless the terrain is very physically hostile. What terrain do you have to deal with? Avoid a heel strike walk that you might do in shoes; your feet should touch the ground at an angle that is more parallel.

I've not worked yet, but I would want to do this at work too. I wear slippers at home only when I come out of the shower since my mom would complain about my feet slightly wetting up the floor. That won't be an issue when I move out. For the cold, I sometimes wear socks. I think the best way to beat the cold via underfloor heating. That should keep your feet warm and seems like a good heating system overall. You may have to go without carpeting for it to work best though. I've yet to experience it, but it's something I'd definitely want to look into.

I am Diabetic, so barefoot is dangerous. Any injury or small wound on a Diabetic's foot can lead to massive infection, necrosis, amputation, etc.
I know my feet ain't the best looking ones out there, but I have grown rather attached to them over the years.

I love going barefoot, especially in the Sierra Nevada. Being doing it since I was a boy. At first it hurts a bit as oak leaves are sharp to step on, but later in the summer my callouses have built up enough so that is no longer a problem.
It's the one thing I do to get rid of man's restrictions on me in the city.
I also go barefoot at home all the time, except for winter and early spring. Love it!!!

I am barefoot as much as possible, I find it much more comfortable that way. I also am barefooted outdoors in the morning or late afternoon, the rest of the time the ground is just too hot. Other times I wear sandles. I hate wearing shoes, my feet seem so trapped. My feet must be getting tougher now as the other day I stepped on a thorn. I knew I had but it did not hurt, all I had to do was pull it out (which wasn't that easy!)

Funny how a lot of textile folks take off their shoes after coming home from work. They haven't figured out that if they take off their shoes, wouldn't it be more comfortable to take off everything?
Social conditioning triumphs over logic and common sense for the textile people. Not with us folks, though.
So, bare feet gives the textile folks a clue as to why nudism is better for you, but they dare not act on that principle.

Say it ain't so, Bob. You wear items of clothing? Write on the blackboard 500 times, "I will not wear anything including sandals."
I over-reacted, Bob, and I also became hypocritical. I wear sandals, too. <hanging head in shame>. Sorry about the cloud of dust I stirred up. Only the Lone Ranger can stir up a cloud of dust. The boy in me made me do it.
Still, though, I endeavor to be barefoot as much as possible. At least my feet are partially nude. Mainly, I wear sandals to work, and when I go shopping for a new wardrobe -- which is never. Sandals are a great medium ground between shoes and being barefoot. Kinda like bikinis for the feet.

I donīt go barefoot but unless cold in the winter or raining, always wear sandals.
Not a diabetic as homenudist but have had lymphatic removal, so could be a bit of a risk if I picked up infection.

I used to go barefoot all the time, then several years ago I started getting leg pains. I went to the Dr and he said that it was from my feet not having the proper arch support. I started wearing at least sandals and now the pain is gone. I do get to go barefoot sometimes now.

Well, Bob, 30 times is good enough for me, if it's good enough for you.
