We shall not cease being nude whenever possible until "they" paste textile to us with super glue so that peeling it off becomes impossible.
Naked shall we be as often as we please.

Calling "Naturist" as "a confession" carries an implied belief that being naked is "sin" or otherwise wrong. When naked people stop believing that being naked is something to "confess," stop hiding, and start being proudly naked, then and only then will we make real progress toward acceptance of naked human bodies.

I agree Bob and what you said about stop hiding and start being proudly naked reminds me of a quote from Jesus that Thomas had in his book.

37. His disciples said, "When will you appear to us, and when will we see you?"

Jesus said, "When you strip without being ashamed, and you take your clothes and put them under your feet like little children and trample them, then [you] will see the son of the living one and you will not be afraid."

(The Gospel of Thomas is one of the Books that didn't make it into the Bible.)

My theory is that whenever one is tempted to confess to something, it is more fun to confess to the opposite, as in "I have a confession - I've stopped being a textile! It started as mild doubt, but now, except for specific cases of warmth or protection, I've completely lost my reverence for clothing!"

Nudism is about freedom. Freedom to worship, being able to think freely, and freedom to be nude are all spiritually linked and important. Everyone has to personally decide when they will be truly free and not in fear of others being in judgement of their nudism/naturism.

Much agreed. The way I see it, God created the human body, so why hide it in shame?

Oh look at that? Seems like the Church conviently forgot this little something didn't they? Score one for the nudists!

My friends all know that I am a nudist, as does my girlfriend. In fact, she's about half way there towards being a nudist herself, and that's still a work in progress. As for my friends, not only do they like the idea of nudism and being able to be nude without doing something sexual, but they all agreed to hang out nude sometime soon. So I'm currently putting together a little nudist get together with my friends and I. I just simply dropped little hints and jokes like "Hey! How about whoever loses this round of our card game loses one article of clothing?" I did this in several different conversations at different times with the same group of friends and one asked jokingly "Are you a nudist?" Of course I said yes, and she was like "Oh, wow" and started laughing at the coincidence. Score 2 for the nudists!

Someone actually had the gall to say that they were a naturist in this forum. Omigosh!! Will this forum survive that sort of statement?

You mean someone said that they take off their clothes and live that way? I was initially stunned to hear that, but then I discovered that I had no clothes on either. Odd when a nude person hears that another person prefers wearing nothing. What is next? A person's whole body being seen?

I really do like that concept. Really.

“I rise early almost every morning and sit in my chamber, without any clothes whatever, half an hour or an hour, according to the season, either reading or writing.”
Ben Franklin

"Coming out" as a nudist or naturist is not a confession. It is a Proclamation. A confession is an admission of some wrong-doing. Letting others know that one is a nudist is an enlightening revelation.
Nudism is an ongoing act of freedom.

This is the only world we have. It is far better to be a part of the effort to enlighten others so that nudism is more accepted and gains more participants.
