So what? Just because somebody chose to post a picture to a newsgroup does not mean the artist or author is unknown. Further, in the USA, for many years, any new materials are considered copyrighted upon creation.

HarborGuy, you say you are in advertising. Anyone in advertising would know that. Nobody can afford to be sued for such a violation.

You accused nudists of promoting websites with provacative pictures of women and children and no men and swore that you would vacate if even one website could be found contrary. In addition to this very website, I linked you to hundreds of real nudist websites with plenty of pictures, men and women of all ages and shapes, all wholesome, truthful, happy, non-sexual, natural and good.

You made a big deal out of pictures on an unmoderated Usenet group that is being trolled by pedos and porn merchants. When I pointed that out and asked if you were one of the trolls, you came up with your story.

Maybe you are not a liar. All I'm saying is that you are not in advertising as you claim, not working for a nudist resort as you claim, not at a nudist resort as you claim and not even a nudist as you claim.

There is no nudist resort where you can walk out and ever see even one erection, let alone have the kind of action you proclaim. Anyone who has ever even been to a nudist resort or beach would know that your claims are so far fetched as to be laughable.

That fantasy is so silly that it is not even a lie.

No. There is a real reason the rest of us who are nudists do not share that silly fantasy, and object to foisting that on the readers of this forum, a number of whom are newbe's. Your sexual fantasy is just that, your private sexual fantasy.

It is normal for us all to have a fantasy life. It is normal for men to get erections from sexual fantasies. It is caddish for a man to push his personal sexual activity on others by parading his erection when there is no desire on the part of another for sexual involvement.

HarborGuy, you have been told repeatedly that a family nudist resort is not a place for public sexual activity. That has nothing to do with prudishness. My wife and I hold hands, hug, and kiss, whether we are at a nudist resort or in church. Other couples do also.

We just don't do anything in front of the kids or anyone else at a nudist resort that we would not do with our clothes on. It's that simple.

It is OK to have a rich fantasy life. It is not OK to believe such a fantasy is real and push it on others. That kind of disinformation hurts nudist families, particularly women and kids.

What kind of a jerk goes after nudist children that way, trying to deprive them and their parents of access to body-positive, balanced, wholesome, nudist values. They need these values to help them deal with the overt sexualization and commercialization of their bodies on the one hand and self-loathing prudes on the other, both body-negative and evil.

Already we have people on this forum worrying needlessly about bringing their children to a family nudist resort. They would rather let a legacy of prudery, objectification and sexualization infect their children than let them see the simple truth about the human body at a nudist resort, and all because of fantasies like this erection nonsense, and people who give the impression that nudist resorts have men running around stroking off.

They do not. The real danger is all the organizations that would rather hide pedos than expose them the way nudist organizations have been doing for forty years.

Ok, it’s obvious that I have become the focus of vial attacks on my character. This last letter has attacked me to the very core and for what? I am NOT a pro boner (God that is so childish) person. So quit calling me that. All I have stated in the past and have given proof to was that not all ERECTIONS are sexually based. I don’t know when my words were so sadistically twisted, but I do know why. Fear is always the basis for a good old fashion witch-hunt and as we see here words can be very violent.

With the exception of one post I have been respectful of everyone or tried to be at least. I hardly ever quoted people or even used their screen names. I figured it would be obvious who said what and if not, then no big deal. I have been civil and polite. I really am a good person and not the villain people have cruelly made me just to make their point.

Anyway, right now I can’t deal with that. My daughter has been evicted from her home because her children’s father is such a cowardly red neck that he can’t take his own responsibilities seriously. I have to devote my energy and resources (Of which are few to nonexistent) to keeping a roof over my grandchildren’s heads.

My other problems are so vast that you couldn’t possibly comprehend. I have AIDS, diabetes, T cell lymphoma and CMV is robbing me of my sight. I have had 4 eye surgeries and my eyes are so bad now that even glasses only help a little. Due to the rules of social security I can’t earn more than $8,000.00 a year or I risk losing not only my supplemental income, but also my state and federal medical assistance.

However, right now none of that means a damn thing. The only thing I can do is let my car be repossessed so my grandkids can get out of the shelter they had to go to.

I’m being crucified and there’s nothing I can do about it, so be it. I know what’s in my heart and I know the person I am. I wasn’t trying to change the world. All I ever wanted to do was voice my opinion, which I have the right to do just as everyone does.

Originally I found this thread to be a very interesting and fun topic of which I still enjoy. I was never on a soapbox, but I guess in a way it looked that way, but being in my situation I find that a lot of the petty BS that so many people get senselessly aggravated over such as a simple erection, what Paris Hilton does next, gay marriage, nudism or whatever. How about just staying alive and having three square meals a day?

I’m 46 years old this month. I like Harry Potter. I don’t know why, but I have all the books and a lot of toys that I keep in the box and on display so I can pass something on to my grandkids and yet people attack me even for that.

I love my children and grandchildren so much it hurts and they live over a thousand miles away from me now and I can’t even afford simple visits. Phone calls are almost impossible.

And yes you called me on one thing. Last month I had to quit my job and move in with three other men to reduce my cost of living, which at this point is even too high for me. My one saving grace is that I get $110.00 in food stamps and I could get about $20.00 a month extra in food vouchers, but because the republicans have reduced funding for AIDS so they can wage a pointless war if my income is over $50.00 I don’t even qualify for that. As a result I have one breakfast sandwich for breakfast and I try to have a full dinner, but sometimes it’s just cereal.

So now I expect the next snide remark to be, “But you can afford to have a computer and be in the Internet.” Yes I paid $150.00 for a used computer after my old one crashed and burned and I am right now networked into my landlord’s Internet.

For the most part I live modestly and quietly and even with the exception of the things I had to do for my job and even though I lived in a nudist resort I hardly ever emerged from my camper. I hardly ever used the pool or hot tub or even went to parties. I don’t drink or do drugs and yet because I

StuffedTiger states:

"...a family nudist resort is not a place for public sexual activity. That has nothing to do with prudishness. My wife and I hold hands, hug, and kiss, whether we are at a nudist resort or in church. Other couples do also.

We just don't do anything in front of the kids or anyone else at a nudist resort that we would not do with our clothes on. It's that simple."

The comment stated above is confusing to me.

Technically, ANY public area is considered "not a place for public sexual activity."

Yet, hugging - & any form of physical contact can be sexual, right? Even without physical touch - AND since we do not really know what is going on in someones mind, "sexual" thoughts can occur in the innocent "nudist" environments AND "church."

When a nudist can attempt to make it sound so innocent when they state that they do everything they would do with clothes on. The example of "hugging" another nudist the same as if you had clothes on is the same.

What about that "slow" dancing in a nudist environment? I have always enjoyed slow dancing in this "clothing" world. If I go to a nudist community party where slow dancing occurs (if it even exists,) does that mean I will not have to think the male nudist will have an erection (AGAIN - NOT the so called "raging" erection, because an erection can exist in various stages, right?)

Many of the nudist consistantly state they never experience seeing this at a nudist resort are extremely rare to see a man with an erection. Well, I think that may be because they "cover" in any way they can. To make it sound like it does not occure is wrong.

Then, I wonder about the comments I read some experienced nudist make about attending well known resorts catering to "adults only." Yet, those same nudist that adamently object to these "erections" occurring in a nudist resort can still attend those types of resorts. The resorts that have a "reputation" for conducting a beautifully run nudist resort business in the DAYTIME. But, that same beautifully run nudist resort changes the scene to an "adult only" scene. AND those nudist still attend. This is where I understand HarborGuy's suggestion that many of these nudists are HYPOCRITES. It is true. They are totally against that "adults only" scene, but they appear to be sitting over there having a drink, watching & enjoying (participating & condoning those actions by their presence.) That is being a hypocrite.

For those who want to promote those great nudist resorts, the nudism that is so very much "non-sexual" as you adamently state, please keep in mind the following:

- you are telling many people that nudism is not at all "sexual"
- you are telling many people about a great nudist resort
- AND you are telling many people that same great nudist resort you attend changes to an "adult only" resort at night
- Yet, you are telling many people that you continue to attend

(It is not right to condone that lifestyle by attending the NIGHTLIFE, then state negative comments about this subject.)

Living a life without clothes is a wonderful. I say that does not make them the "authority" on nudism. We all learn from each other all the time (even when we think we know it all.)

I've been away from the forum for a few days... and I don't know if I *should have* come back or not...

HarborGuy: I am sorry about your current situation... really... hopefully with the new year things will get better!

But I do have to respond to your comment about the "tribespeople" walking around naked...

Those "people" also hunt for their food on a daily basis... usually with homemade weapons...

I go to a supermarket to buy my food... and store it in a refrigerator run on electricity... in a home that has a solid roof and not leaves and twigs or animal skins...

What is my point?

My point is that I live in a totally *different* society than those "National Geographic" people; our social laws differ *greatly* from people who live in "the bush" whether it be in Africa, Guatamala, Mexico, or where ever!

Our "social laws" in the U.S. clearly state that erections are unwelcome in a nudist environment no matter what may have caused the erection. Period.

And I know that we are getting *nowhere* in this thread... except a few "heated words" from others here and there...

Obviously nothing anyone here says to you is going to make a difference...

So you just walk around with your boner... oops I mean erection... all you want and I will do my best to divert my young son away from your presence...

Just don't get too close...

Happy New Year by the way...

erection on Nude Beach is somewhat complex question. Well, of course I had erections few times and it seemed to me that I was more embarrased than these were offended these women who happened to see. Eventhough I got erection on pure sexual attraction of woman I saw naked I still think I should not be punished in anyway. Simply, for what happened to me was purely natural and with no bad thoughts.

Read the first 8 pages.
My 2 cents. Hetero male. Def. no ED. When much younger, about 30, found ourselves in a large undeveloped public area at an area w. lots of hot springs. About 200 nude people. I was afraid something "untoward" would happen, but never did.
Since then never have noticed an erection at a nude beach or hot springs. (Of course I wasn't really looking for one, so just may not have noticed.) Never have been to a c.o. resort.
I would def. be embarrassed if that ever happened to me. I would try to hide the fact i had an erection as quickly as possible.
Of course, like most teenaged boys, that would happen spontaneously, just sitting in history class and we would just hope the teacher didn't choose that time to call us to the blackboard.
Wife still notices that she'll have some dance partners at a club who will get one even though everyone is fully clothed and not really touching. OTH, she said she never has noticed one in public, like at a beach.
I equate getting an erection in public to suddenly getting a coughing spell. If that happens you usually turn away, and if people are around, excuse yourself. Should do the same w. an erection.

This might be a naive question. I have been ti numerous nide beaches and hot springs, but never to a c.o. resort.
It appears many of them have music and dancing as an activity. Is this done while partially or totally nude? Women have told me there are more erections than you would think at a "regular" dance club.
How is this handled at a c.o. resort?

I've been to over 50 clubs, parks, resorts, and beaches during the 39 years I've been a nudist. Nudism is a mindset. Men generally have control of the situation and erections are not a problem. One nudist resort has the air conditioning up so high, one has to be clothed, that is their policy. The other parks I've visited have no restrictions on clothing, and most are nude.

Erections are normal but I know in my own case that when I started going to swim nights in a large group and often there seemed to be more woman then men, I would get an erection and feeling red faced about it, but most of the woman simply smiled at me as I apologized. If you don’t wonder around with it held up high most will understand, at least that’s what I realized.

The image is one thing and the human being is another. It's very hard to live up to an image

I've been an aanr member for over 10 years, and visit numerous resorts in Florida. Being a single male, I have always practiced proper etiquette at the resorts. I met a female nudist at one of the resorts who happened to live close to me. She has a privacy area in her yard, and invited me over any time I wanted to lay out. We became close friends (not romantic). For a couple of years I would always roll over, or somehow conceal a spontanious erection. One day it just happened while we were talking, I apologized, and started to roll over, but she said it was quite natural, and not to worry about it. I soon regained control, but felt relieved that I no longer had to hide a natural occurance. That was several years ago, and it happens quite regularly now with no one giving it much thought. I'll always behave in a social setting, but it's nice to be able to relax and just "let it do what it does"

I remember that as a young boy I would get an erection if a seagull sneezed within 20 miles of me. I have found that if you have a decent sized erection no one minds that its out to see. Most men that have small erections are ashamed to it show in public and object if others do it. Most women look at an erection not as a sex toy but as a natural piece of human anatomy and like to see them just as I admire a fine pair of breasts or nicely trimmed pubic area or well formed buttux. and if Im not putting it in any ones face they donet usually mind.

Well you get an "E" for effort. As pathetic as it is, thats the first NEW excuse I've seen by the pro-boner crowd in a long long time.

They don't give up do they, but it will get them nowhere in social setting. I recently visited family club that has a strong stance on inappropriate behaviour, and I fully support them, especially as they let me, a single male into their club for a week.

I believe in open discourse without rude critisism. your opinion is welcome but being rude is not. I have not waved my erection in your face so dont be upset because I broached the subject of it. You are welcome to tell me what displeases you about an erection the you see and is not foisted upon you. I have never been asahmed of my body no matter if its sweaty or dirty or not formed perfectly or even if its in a natural state caused by my hormones.I just wonder what the objection is I have seen many erections in my life and have never been disgusted or alarmed or aroused by it.
