I'm so glad that you said no known case involving a woman's nipple and not a known case of a woman raping a man because if that's where you were going then I would ask you to read the sex offender list real closely. However, you are right in that I have never seen a giant nipple rolling down the sand reeking havoc on the beach and if I ever did, I don't think I would return to that beach.

Yes you are correct women's nipples can get arroused with cold, just a man's penis can get arroused by heat and since I know of no nudist beach at the north pole I would guess women have it pretty easy there.

Sure there is cold weather even in Florida, but speaking as someone actually from Florida I can honestly state that on those days finding a woman on one of those beaches is pretty unlikely.

Hell on the flip side there is an old saying about Florida and that is only tourists have tans if Florida because people who live there stay indoors. It's pretty true too. Thank god for AC.

We recently visited our first nudist resort in Florida and naturally my major concern was to become aroused at the wrong time. After maybe the first half hour of curiousity, I felt completly comfortable and my fears never came to being. I guess if I went there with sex on my mind, things may have been different, but we just enjoyed the surroundings and met alot of nice people. We enjoyed the freedom of being natural and look forward to our next visit.

i too thought of the same occurance. my wife and i recently went to a clothing optional resort. i was nude the minute we walked in. she later joined me in the hot tub. once i began socializing,i became more comfortable being around other nude people.did see some males with erections but were quickly covered by towels.no one made a great deal about it.

nude and smooth in the mountain state

Amen Ash! Men, don't even get us started on what is fair and what isn't. Maybe on the arousal thing we have a small advantage, but just be glad you don't have 5-7 days EVERY MONTH in horrible cramping pain!

Okay, maybe I am over reacting. Nipples can be erect for many reasons, men are erect for preety much one reason. So I suppose it is an advantage women have.

Guys! Guys! lets get down to grass routes here... erections, erect nipples, swollen labia and so the list goes on, are all just normal parts of human physiology. I personally think it ridiculous to think of any of these penomena as offensive. To me that is like saying that the normal functions of the body are offensive... so is it offensive to yawn?... thats just as normal a bodily function!
Secondly... at times erections will occur... in both sexes, but as long as they are dealt with in an adult and discreet manor then so what? who really cares?
and finally...as for this argument as to whats fair and whats not... lets be reasonable and adult about this... both sexes have their fair shave of trials and tribulations in life, for which we are differently equipped to deal with....thats life!!!

Read and listen to what these nudist women have to say. We men want more women to get involved in nudism, get involved in the forums and become more comfortable with nudism as a whole.

If it makes them uncomfortable, let it go. Learn and listen to what they are saying and heed their wishes.

Erections are not only offensive to single women, married women, significant other women but to men also. Keep your woody under wraps and drop the "it's natural" argument.

It's great to be idealist about this but I'm with Fireprof, it's the best way to make nudity more acceptable.

to me this situation is simple, if you can't control yourself then remove yourself from the situation. If you become excited its your problem, not anyone else's.

FireProf,

Your right on target. This topic and the attempt by some males to justify erections in mixed company is the reason many female dropped this site, including Kimberly, who personally told me this is why we don't see her here anymore.

I post on several other message boards as some of you know. I am sad to say that this topic has been discussed and over discussed, over and over again to the point where we have lost female members to those sites as well because of the constant battle over manners, respect and "but,it's natural."

What we have discussed and the other site moderators/administrators have done, with a little prodding from some, is establish a females only section for female members to go into and post without male interjection.

We are all curious to see if this new section will now attract more of the regular females to post more, bring back some of those females we lost and attract new female members, which is what all of us want anyway.

I just think that manners and respect have gone out the door with so many different issues we face today, that this should be a "no brainer", "what to do with an erection in this situation."

I don't care to see one, my wife doesn't either. Many of the other male members here as well as female members have stated the same, why do a few still argue that it should be okay. I don't get the continual debate when a newbie comes to this site or any other naturists message board with an erection question, we should tell them what naturist etiquette is, "be discreet, cover with a towel, sit down, lay on your stomach, go into the water, til it subsides." Don't flaunt it, don't walk up to others with one and expect all others to embrace this situation.

Just my $1.98 again.

I know what you mean FireProf,

I have seen it happen again and again. I think the reason is may be newcomers but there are a few who seem to like to discuss this topic to death. Personally when I see a guy at the beach with an erection it always is in a sexual situation. It also angers me because nudism isn't about sex. In fact it seems to be the number one reason we lose our nude places. It is also the thing that stigmatizes us in the eyes of the general public, nudism = sex. I think the less we say about this topic the better. It isn't considered, by the majority of real life nudists I know, to be a appropriate thing to do in public. Like someone else said defecating is a natural bodily function but we don't do that in public either.

When I was a newbie a few years back, I really thought this community was a naturist one. However, I cannot understand how many of you can call yourselves naturists, yet so vehemently oppose what is natural. I understand people may feel uncomfortable, but we cannot find comfort in everything. As others, this issue has really turned me off, but for other reasons, (ie. the non-tolerance of other's ideas). Why put me down, if I say "the warm sun and gentle breeze on my skin makes me feel so good that at times I get an erection? Is that so horrible? Are you saying that God got it wrong when he made me? If it offends you, I am sorry, please turn away, as I believe it creates more of an issue for me to go and get a towel. What the hell do you think is under the towel. If I were you naturists, I would stay away from all men with towels on their laps. I am just sick and tired of your judgemental opinions of others who do not practice naturism the same way you do.

You will be most happy to know this will be my last post.

Newdnubia

ps. you really should consider changing your identity from being "naturist", you are not.

Freedom, oh freedom!!!
