There was a good suggestion for an "off topic" topic, where the Admin won't gripe at you for ignoring the subject! 
And so, drum roll please, the moment we have been waiting for has finally arrived! In this thread, and this thread only, it matters not what the subject is, nor if there was a subject in the first place. So, what's new with you?

hi to all
just a update from the old buzzard.have been in the hospital for back surgery. i am home now and am dooing good on the recovery. hope all had a good summer,looking forward to getting back out to the magic circle soon............old buzzard
not as good as i once was.....dammit

I had to have L5 repaired about 20 years ago so I can relate. I'm sure your doc told this but get up and move move move. It cut my recovery time in half. Now the only thing that reminds me of the ordeal is a 6 inch scar down my lower back. Funny story.... One time while surf fishing at Galveston, A kid come up, I guess he was about seven or so, and asked what happen to my back. I said why do you ask? He says.... I see the mark on your back. It took me a second or two to realise what he was talking about and then I said, I have my hinney crack made longer. The boy just turned around and was walking off while shouting...... MOM, HE MADE HIS BUTT BIGGER!!!!
I about died laughing.

my L5 is messed up too. they call it a "regeneration of L5 disc, causing pelvic problems". i keep it in check with chiropractor visits so far. hope i'll never need the surgery

jumping off roofs onley when i was yonger,a long long time ago.just plain used it up,so both L4 and L5 are fused now.thanks for the encouragement all...........old buzzard

Mine's down at the S5-L1.
Bothered me for years but two years ago my left leg just went numb. Finally got a desk job about a year prior and a thats what did me in.
A year of therapy helped but going to the gym and losing 30 pounds gave the most benefit. And all my clothes un-shrunk!
