I cannot imagine a nudist being offended by any nude body. That's completely ridiculous!

Both my Wife and Daughter have large breasts and someone being offended by that is really too bad. They must be offended by all humans big and small!

It makes me wonder what someone who is offended by that would even be doing at a nude beach in the first place.

Karen, that's a good question, why would somebody that's offended by nude people be at a nude beach?

This is a most interesting topic when it comes to nudity and breasts in general. I personally feel breasts are breasts. Some of bigger than others and some are made via surgery. I personally feel the ladies should simply show what God gave them whether small, medium, or large. On the topic of natural versus fake, I will vote for natural each and every time. Natural is what God intended.

Sincerely,

Jamie

I find the "natural is what god intended" remarks interesting.

My wife and I are nudists because we are firm believers in people being free to do whatever they want to do. People should be allowed to alter their bodies any way they feel.

That being said, I wonder how people feel about men that lift weights. It's not natural if you think about it. A man repeatedly lifting extremly heavy weights until parts of his body become larger. Why no biblical backlash for the body builders?

palmer, IMO body building is simply a way of describing that form of exercise. Silicon implants, on the other hand, are not. I see them only as an invasive way to radically modify the body.

Also please keep in mind that body building gives results over time, while implants, liposuction etc have immediate results since they are more direct.

I do not discriminate against people who decide to have parts of their bodies enchanced but I do prefer natural over man-made.

I can't imagine a true nudist having a problem with the size of one's breasts. Nudism is about the exceptance of the human form no matter what size or shape.

My grandmother didn't like when I got a tattoo

My Mother didn't like it when I started body-building

My wife doesn't like my dieting.

Some people feel that any change you do to your body is altering it from it's natural form. Breast implants, lipo and face lifts are no different from body building or eating so much that you become obese.

Like some of you, my wife is well endowed in the breast area and we have never had any issues on the beaches etc. I am surprised there is any sentiment like that? G and J

Dieting implies that maybe you want to drop a little or lot of extra weight.

If the wife doesn't like dieting, how did she put up with the eating the brought about the need for dieting?

Wow. This has become an entirely different conversation since the last time I looked at it. It seems to be moving in a direction that it might warrant its own thread, but it's fascinating.

It's kind of serendipitous that I happened to click on this link, today. I've been thinking about self-image as well as cultural-image today. To go through the entire thing would take a book to read, so I won't bore you with the details (seriously, it goes back to the Spartans -- it's a long chain of free-association).

Bottom line is that there's a difference between what people see as "potential" and what what people see as "mandatory". A person may want to change something about their body not because they "have to" but because they CAN.

I won't get into the "natural vs artificial" argument, but barring situations where one may want to starve himself to death or cut off a limb, a desire for idealism is normal. It doesn't necessarily mean they hate the way they are. It just means they keep striving for something.

Wifey doesn't like the dieting because she thinks it's uneccessary. She liked the extra 15 pounds I put on while I was unemployed last year.

In an effort to avoid gaining any more weight, I cut down on soda, juice, bread, rice and pasta and lost 20 pounds in the 1st month. The sudden weight dip gave me all this extra energy and I started pushing myself on the treadmill for cardio reasons, (i'm asthmatic) which lead to some unintended weight loss. I like the new me. Wifey doesn't.
