I am new to this forum, but I love this quote...I think as nudists we all need to keep some humour about us...

I have been shaving for a few years now, and love the look and feel. I usually don't shave it all off, as my wife doesn't like the complete bald look, but I do shave my balls and keep everything very neat and short. This of course means cutting back a lot of the brush. If my wife liked the shaved look, it would probably be completly shaved most of the time.

I have a practical objection to the shaving of pubic hair. Mind you I don't care who else does it, but I would certainly prefer if my partner did not. For a while my girlfiend was shaving hers and was very diligent about maintaining the look. As time went on however, the intervals between shaving lengthened. The resultant stuble was extemely unpleasant to contact with my uncircumsized penis, I actually began to develop a rash as well as an aversion to her genitals! Straight sex (intercouse)was unpleasant to me and I began to prefer oral sex mostly, we had to talk. At first she said she could not shave more often because of irritation in shaving. I finally had to say " listen my penis hates touching you there,its like rubbing it over course sandpaper. Please try to put yourself in my place for a moment if you can!" at last some empathy. She has grown it back, we are both happier for it, fashion be damned.

I have been shaving since 1995 and would never stop doing it. I not only shave my pubic area, but my whole body. Take a look at my photo albun and tell me what you think. I love it!

I have been shaving for many years, altough not completely as it would look to bizarre given I have some chest hair. I do find it to be enjoyable and my wife likes it too, it is usually a summer thing for me though.

I shave and it is good to be free of the hair. I'm slightly hairy due to my mixtures (Japanese, Chinese, Portuguese, English, German, Dutch, Hawaiian) so I decoided years ago tobe a smoothie. I feel better on my area to be shaved. I just touch up now and then. It is nothing to be ashamed of or self conscious. There a lots of folks (men/women) I have seen that are shaved in their private area. Some even trim their hair under their arms, like I do.

I shave my pubes including my balls about every two days after I take a hot shower.Although I've been shaving for a number of years,I still find it a turn-on for me.Is that the experience of others?Chic

I had a medical procedure done a few times last year that required a nurse to shave me from groin to groin. I was hairless for the whole summer. After it started to grow back, I decided to keep it short because it feels better. To me it also looks better. I also now shave my scrotum regularly. Here too, it just feels much better and looks nice to boot. It's all personal preference. I haven't had any comments, possitive or negative, so I might be slipping under the radar on this.

I have been shaving for quite afew years. When vacationing in FL for two weeks in August I noted that the percentage of smoothies on my favorite beach had increased dramatically. I only counted three men and six women, during the four days that I went to the beach, that were not smooth.

Just a note...during trips to the nude beach this past year, my wife and I noticed that the majority of both women and men we encountered were partially or totally smooth. To give you a rough idea of what we experienced (not saying this is scientific or true everywhere), for every 20 women there were perhaps 12 shaven to a thin verticle line, 6 completely smooth, and 2 unshaven. For every 20 men, there were maybe 10 trimmed above and smooth below, 6 completely smooth, and 4 not trimmed at all. This was irrespective of body type, but not of age. Older people were more likely to be completely smooth than to be either trimmed or unshaven.
Most importantly, I'm happy to report that regardless of age, body type or "hair style," those folks were among the nicest people we've ever met.

I shave my whole pubic area with a Gillette Mach3 with very good results.To stay smooth though,I have to shave every 2 to 3 days.Some smoothies say they are using a Braun Epilator which keeps them smooth from 2 to 3 weeeks.I'm thinking of using the epilator,but am concerned with being left with severe irritation,red dots etc.Has anyone used this method with goood results?Thanks,chic
