Ticks, little black bugs, spiders oh my! I think people get those whether they are shaved or not, at least in their hair.

Isn't there a song about spiders and snakes? Maybe some of you are to young to remember it. Jim Stafford (sp) sang it. I really don't see many snakes when I run trails or hike, but I do see lots of other things. This time of year to forest is deserted. I guess most folks must be fair weather hikers. A month ago it snowed and I hiked the next day. I was the only person on the trail. Now I was clothed .... to cold to hike nude. It was so beautiful, peaceful, and quiet. I called my wife just to tell her how beautiful it was. To me there is nothing better than being out on the trails no matter if it's cold, windy, hot, or muggy. I love nature and being nude in it, is the only way to really feel it. Have a great day everyone.

Isn't It Beautiful Outside ...

We enjoy camping and hiking in the nude, just like to do it when the weather is nice, don't like being nude in the snow! Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
I can watch the rain from the hot ub.

Welcome to the forun cpt-noble. Sorry to hear about the cancer, hope everything works out well. I know, the little black bugs and spiders are creepy, and temporary, but you just take the sun for granted. We always use the highest PF sunblock we can, and limit our exposure.

Skin cancer is highest among people who are out in the sun for long periods of time, (i.e.)nudists. We use the highest PF sun block, and and avoid the most intense part of the day. I frequently wear a hat and will go inside or cover up when I feel i am getting too much sun.

I'll add to wishing you health, cpt-noble! I lived in Tucson, AZ for several years and as a competitive cyclist trained about 10,000 miles a year (or about 15,000 km?). Now here in the pacific northwest, I don't have to worry as much, but still am careful with the sun-block, using it in copious amounts. The scary thing is that skin damage is cumulitive and I wonder how much damage has allready been done.

I'm very fair and protect myself with sun block. My dematoligist tells me though, we need to aviod the Sun. Further, that most of the damage resulting in skin cancer is as a result of over exposure as a young child. But that is not to say we shouldn't continue to avoid the sun.

Chic you don't have to avoid the sun all together, just avoid it durning the peak hours, and use sun block and cover as necessary.
