Hey, everybody, great posts from all of you on this subject. I espescially like the posts of GeeWillie and OldHippie (Hey, I'm one of those myself, man!) Anyway, IMO ...

I was an evangelical Christian myself for a long time, and, of course, some of my congregation members would "call me to an accounting" when this subject came up. Far out. I told them:

Armageddon has come. The rapture has occurred. The sheep and the goats have been separated. Judgement Day is upon us.

You are locking heels front and center before The Lord to account for you life, and the issue of your clothing-optional activities come up.

I DARE YOU to tell The Lord Himself to his very face:

"Lord, these bodies you have given us are perverted, filthy, shameful ... a disgrace ... sinful ... evil!!! How DARE You, Lord!!!"

This left them SPEECHLESS, eyes agog and mouth agape ... every ... single ... time!

I rest my case.

To fun in the sun, y'all!

Happy New Year! Peace.

Christianity and nudism go together period. God created us nude. We didn't come with a wardrobe. Remember what God asked Adam and Eve "Who told you you were naked?"

In Christian theology, we find a positive reason for nudity, and I think it is better to have positive reasons for nudity, than the lack of negative reasons. That said, here is a bullet list of this theology:

  • Man was created to be nude and innocent

  • Manned fell from grace

  • Man became afraid to be nude after his and her fall

  • Jesus came to save us from our fate and to reveal to us God's new commandments.

  • Man is restored to innocence when he accepts salvation from Jesus

  • Because man is restored to innocence, he and she can be nude once more

  • There is a wonderful symmetry to this. We start out nude, blow it all, and Jesus makes it possible to be nude again. Simple.

How far you can go without destroying from within what you are trying to defend from without?
