Is it just me or do others find this site to be awfully slow to open and navigate? I visit many sites each day for work and leisure but I find this site to be the slowest by far to use. Its not a once off, its every time I log on.
Sometimes I don't even read all the posts because it just takes to long for pages to open. I have noticed a drop off in posts lately and I wonder if one reason could be that it just takes too long to do anything on the site.
It can't be anything to do with my computer or connection because I have no problem with other sites.

Are you on dial-up or a faster connection? It's a little slower than many sites, but this has way more content than most other sites.
I haven't seen any drop-off in posting or new members at all.

There have been about the same number of posts and there are even more new members to this site in recent days. Trust me on that as I have to read the new posts as well as take a look at all the profiles.

I am on cable broadband. I'll take your word as regards the postings but to me it seemed that whenever I logged on there were very few new posts.
There may be as you say a lot of content on the site and that is why it is so slow. As the amount of content can only grow thus slowing it down further it is an issue that needs to be addressed if the site is not to become very unattractive and frustrating to use. It would be a pity if that were to happen

I don't think beachnudist is the only one having this problem. At home and at work, where I am currently, we have DSL. All the other sites I visit load quickly but this one has seemed to slow down a bit in the past month or so.
I thought it was my computer but every computer I've used to log onto nudist-resorts.org is having the same long download times. I thought I was the only one experiencing this.

I also find the wait for pages to load frustrating. This site generally takes between 10 and 20 second for each page to 'get natural'. The longest ever was 72 seconds.

I'm also here in Europe and on broadband; experiencing the same type of long load times as Beachcomber. I've also noticed it often takes a very long time for the site to respond after a request for a page is sent. I assume this is in addition to the page load time that is displayed at the bottom of the page.

I guess I'm the lucky one. In Italy with ADSL and this page always gets natural in less than 2 seconds. Something here really does work the way it's supposed to!!
When people at work start complaining about how slow their computers are, I always suggested dumping all the cookies that have been stored up and emptying the Temp Internet files. This is a simple yet surefire way to speed things up.

I was too chicken to complain about it, but I have the same problem. I'm on cable modem, normally quite sppedy, and have to wait FOREVER to pages to load here. It's very frustrating. Perhaps we could all donate a bit to help Cheri increase the bandwidth or whatever to speed things up?

My PC is cleaned on a regular basis and all other sites load almost instantly. This is the only group that I've got time to go and brew a pot of coffee while I'm waiting for a page to load. 
However - I've also noticed it depends on the time of day...... Mornings (UK time) are reasonable, but the evenings are the slowest
(busy server after lunch the USA) ?
PS .... this page got natural in 18.53 seconds.

22.14 seconds. Some pages are slower than others. The erection topic is 37 pages and takes FOREVER. That gives me 2 reasons not to click on it. Weekends and late night(US) are faster. The forum is always adding content. Nothing is ever deleated. I read somewhere that as the internet becomes more crowded certain users get priority. As a .org are we getting the slow lane??

I agree with the slowness, and it seems to be getting worse since I joined in November. No problem with speed at any other sites. I'm on high speed cable. Want to read as many submissions as possible on smooth look and shaving before I start posting, but just takes too long between pages (upwards to 2 to 3 minutes some days after which I give up).

I joined this website about 2 months ago and this is the first time I've ever written. I really love reading all the posts, but this has to be the slowest site I've ever been on. Very fustating. Other than that it very informative.
