How many of you are going to vote in the election? How many are looking forward to the election being over?

I plan one while wishing the other. Don't know who to vote for, who's telling the truth, who's making a mountain out of a mole hill, and are their real plans for me and my family.

Won't get into a political discussion here. Let's just say I can't wait till my TV and radio is no longer being over run with political ads, both state and federal. I'm just a little upset none of the candidates for any of my state or federal election addressed the discrimination and intimidation nudist must suffer.

I am definitely voting. In some instances against someone and in the US Senate race in SC, voting for someone.
I do want it to be over all ready.

Just sitting here waiting for the upcoming came of the World Series.
Will the Sox beat the Curse?
I think they will, they are team that is not individuals, and they work together as a team. Everyone on the roster has a job to do and they appear to be like cream they rise to the top.
What do you call 25 guys sitting around watching the World Series?
The New York Yankees!!!
I will be heading off to Fenway Park tomorrow AM early to pick up my tee shirt and hat, but I have to remember to get X Large, since I will be going to have my nipples and belly button pierced!
Keep your fingers crossed and I will let you know how I am feeling.
GO SOX!!!!!!

You can always wear a pith helmet, jpq, and a whistle and go as a lifeguard.
Other suggestions: wear a stethoscope and go as a nurse or doctor, go as a nudist and just carry a towel. There may still be some photos on my club pages at http://pages.prodigy.net/travelites - links are at the bottom to photos

Take some office papers destined for the waste basket and attach them to your body along with a coffee cup, few paper clips, and ink pen. When people ask about the costume, tell them you're the scariest adult costume around because you are your office desk upon returning from vacation.

Question:
Has anybody been to ANY of the hotels that are VERY close to Haulover Beach within the last 3 months? If so tell me about them including rates. I am heading down in March and may need to stay at one for a couple days. I have heard so many mixed reviews that are pretty old reviews that I need a a fresh review to help me make up my mind. I am not looking for anything fancy, but I am also not looking for anything rundown either. Your help will be appreciated.

If money is an issue, you may want to also consider camp grounds, either a tent or a camper.

Went to Twin's Sov's and picked up quite a few World Series Items. I purchased a Boston hat for myself, and a hat for my wife. I bought a couple of Tee Shirts and Sweatshirts. I finally broke down and bought a nice jacket that the team wears on the field. We are only 3 wins way and we can forget about 1918!!! Let's Hope and Wish!!!!
I survied my piercing. For the shortest of moments there was a stinging sensation, but after that just a numbing sensation.
Watching me closly is my wife who thinking about the same procedure, but she wants to see how well I do. I guess I will have to put on a brave face. All in all the worst is over and I can look forward to showing off my piercings.
Thanks for the info, I really appreiciate it.
Thanks,
Cookie

Coolnude: Info on hotels
We stayed at the Ocean Palm Wednesday 10/20 through Sunday 10/24.
It is not run down; the room was freshly painted and had new carpet (in fact, the first day the smell from the carpet was a little strong).
It is not a new property, and like any decades-old building on the shore in the tropics, the fresh paint covers some age spots.
The rooms were $80/night, $120/night for the four rooms that face the ocean and have balconies/patios. (Higher during high season, of course)
Very friendly people -- both the guests and staff.
Free parking (but don't take an Excursion)is nice -- the hotel we've stayed at previously charged $25/day + a $5 valet tip to come in or go out. Those little things mount up.
It's an easy walk to Haulover.
Efficiency kitchen and free continental breakfasts will keep costs down as well.
Frankly, I'm used to staying in some pretty nice hotels -- but we've already decided we'll return to Ocean Palm.
