This a poem and a topic. There is nothing as beautiful one can see, As a woman naked as can be, Firm of breast and butt and thigh, Set against a burnished sky. Such beauty will never be rivaled by any thing; Whether it be mountain or sky or bounding sea. There is nothing more beautiful........... To this poem I add this old saying--A women is as old as she looks, and a man isn't old till he stops loooking.Does that old saying make me a perv? 'cause I'll never stop looking! What say you ladies? and gentlemen?

Looking is fine, staring isn't IMHO.

How do you define staring and when does looking become inappropriate?
I'm sure that what constitutes staring varies with the starer as well as the staree. While conversing with another person, male or female, clothed ot unclothed, it's not uncommon for my eyes to wander a bit. I don't mean it to be rude or presumptuous but I do notice how a person is dressed (or undressed), how they are groomed, as well as their body language, even though my gaze is primarily on their face. Sure, I could lock my eyes on theirs, but I would probably lose my balance and fall over, which would be more disconcerting for me and probably them. All kidding aside, I have a pretty good idea of what staring is, but I'm curious to know how others would define it.

We do need to make sure that we are not inadvertantly ogling/staring at each other.
I wonder what makes voyeurism? I am thinking that we could discuss whether or not a voyeur needs to be clothed?
I agree with Cheri.

Remember, that a lot of it has to do with the culture. When I was in China, I was stared at a lot! I was the big-nosed (that's how they see westerners' appearance) barbarian, 6'4" with a beard. But, in China, it is perfectly okay to stare (and spit, BTW). Once in a while, they did not stare at me and I kind of missed it!

If you are a beautiful woman and take a lot of pride in your appearance, would you not be more offended if we did not notice? Would you not be more offended if you did not even earn a second glance? How many times have a group of guys walked by a beautiful woman and one could be heard saying, "Wow, man, did you see her?!?" Is that offensive to her? How beautiful would she feel if nobody ever offered a second look? I don't like to be stared at, and try not to do it to others, but when I do it's usually because they have worked very hard to attract a second, third, fourth look. Everybody gets one glance, the special ones get more.

I don't mind nice, appreciative comments and glances. What I do not like are the obnoxious, low-class comments and catcalls that perhaps construction workers might have been known for in the past.
I don't like being stared at; that makes me VERY uncomfortable. :)Cheri

Take it as it goes. Be nude and remember not to care if you are in a nude friendly area - if not, cover it up and wait until you are back at the hotel to tell her she is wonderful and SWEET.

jdr,I couldn't agree with you more.I'm going to go way out on a limb any catagorize women--in four groups.(a)homely (b)average (c)good looking (d)drop dead gorgeous. In my 60+ years on this earth I've met them all. Some were friendly, some were cool and snobish, and some were outgoing.Generaly A and B are more outgoing(they try harder to make a good impression) I have met and talked with many women from all four groups. There were some from C and D that were friendly(they were very confident in themselves)There were a few from group D that were not only friendly but wealthy(rich parents/husbands. Everyone has heard the old saying ---beauty is only skin deep.I don't agree.Beauty comes from the heart and I pay attention to all,no matter which group they come from. But like jdr pay more attention to C and D.....sometimes the outer beauty hides an inner beauty.

Gee wannabe - what category do you fall in? A thought: perhaps your A & B categories are more outgoing because they are more interesting with great personalities and have a good appreciation of other people - in general, just nice people. I've found that a lot of people, especially nudists, aren't concerned about what other people think - particularly the categorizers of the world.

In what category would we put categorizers? Or are categorizers uncategorizable?

“He whose face gives no light shall never become a star.” - William Blake.
Do you think that the body becomes a mirror of the spirit? Or, does the spirit become a reflection of the body?
The other day I heard a fellow say that we love those who have the light of the sun on their face.
