Something has slipped through the cracks which has really, really made things bad for me. I am quite certain that I told my resort not to send any mail out to me, and what has just happened is EXACTLY why I told them not to do it. Now, if they had sent it to my current address, this would not be a problem. However, the fact that the bill fell into the hands of my textile parents basically means that a security breach is happened. I just got off the phone with a VERY agitated momma, using the whole defense-of-nudism lines, none of which worked. All because their address slipped through the cracks somewhere.

Part of the problem is that my address on file is my old college address, which up until two months ago I set to forwarding to my parents' address. But since then it all forwards here. However, I seriously doubt that the letter--which arrived at my folks place just the other day--was sent TWO MONTHS ago.

Blast it!

What's worse, this could be the final nail in the coffin for a host of problems I've been having with them. It has not been pretty in the last few months, folks....

They should be happy you are not spending a lot of money on clothes. Tell them you learned it in micro economics.

Toll booth, Sorry to hear about the problems. Did you give the club your NEW address even if you want no mail? You might consider getting a PO Box for future use. It's under $30 for 6 months.

I hate to say it, but when someone else, even a family member, opens your personal mail, that's a federal law that's being broken.

I know that's NOT what you wanted to hear, but how was the club going to alert you that your membership was up for renewal?

Hugs, Cheri

I hadn't joined yet. I only went to the resort on a bimonthly basis for financial reasons.

It is a federal offense if someone opens mail addressed to another.

Well hmm...I don't think I'm gonna prosecute 'em, although I almost feel like it.... But if they ever decide to judge me about it, I'll calmly remind them of this fact. Sorta like in football where two opponents take a penalty each, and they cancel out.

of course, I did nothing to *deserve* a penalty...but that's the textile world for you. Sigh....

BTW, you folks have no clue how much I hate having to talk like this. I already miss the days of blissful innocence....
