Our first time was at Grand Lido Braco in Jamaica. My wife finally consented to give it a try and I was pleasantly surprised when she booked a room on the all nude side of the resort. We got to the resort late afternoon. I was hoping to see some nude cpls as the porter took us to our room...an "icebreaker" so to speak. It turned out it was the time of day when everyone goes to their rooms to "nap" and get ready for dinner. There was no one around. Our room was on the third floor and the balcony overlooked the nude beach. I got naked and enjoyed the view as my wife unpacked. A young woman was swimming in the lagoon and came out of the water and laid on a lounge under our room to dry off. My wife finished the unpacking and came out...naked but with her arms covering her big breasts. We stood enjoying the view together for awhile then decided to get dressed and go to dinner. On the way to dinner we walked around the nude pool area. It was desserted but we both said how beautiful the place was. After a terrific dinner we decided to go to our room and strip off and go for a skinny dip in the pool. We left our room in robes and went to the pool. We dropped our robes and got into the pool. My wife was so nervous she was shaking. Again no one else was around. After only a few minutes my wife asked to go back to the room. I knew it hadnt gone well. When we got to the room she said she was sorry...but sh ewould never be able to go nude with others around I told her it was ok...and I would never make her do anything she didnt want to. We went to sleep and both woke up very early. I watched the sun begin to rise sitting naked on the balcony as my wife tried to doze off again. After a bit she came out and I suggested a beach walk. She agreed and we put robes on and walked out to the beach. It was gorgeous. The sky was beautiful with the rising sun. The breeze felt wonderful and we walked along picking up shells. We go tto the far end of the beach and I asked if it was ok if I took my robe off. She said sure and I walked along nude..picking up shells. I looked back after a bit and she also had taken her robe off. I told her how awesome she looked and she - - - - led and said how great it felt. I agreed and we walked along naked picking up shells. We decided to lay out under a little hut in front of our room. After a bit a young cpl came over from the clothed side. They sat down a ways off and took off their suits and began walking towards us naked. My wife watched them as they - - - - led and said hi as they walked past. She looked to me and - - - - led...i saw her visibly relax. The cpl got to the end of the beach and headed back our way. This time they stopped and chatted. As they were standing and we were sitting my wife had a great "view' of the young man. His wife went off to gather up their suits and she put hers on before she came back. When she got back she handed him his trunks but he just stood there talking in front of my wife. I knew he was doing a bit of "showing off" but I had fun with it. After a bit they wandered off and my wife looked to me and - - - - led and said...I think Im going to be ok now. Other cpls began coming out to the beach and setting up for the day. The cpl in the ground floor room under ours came out and asked if they could set up by us. Of course we said yes. They were from europe and asked if we had gone nude before. We told them we were beginners. They said they had gone nude all their lives..and all over the world. My wife relaxed even more and it wasnt long and she went off with the other lady to roam around the entire nude side. In one hour the transition was completed. She had gone from shaking nervous to walking around totally nude. I was shocked and amazed...and very very happy. It was the first morning of a totally wonderful experience.

I had my first nude beach experience last week, though it was all too brief. I'd gone out for the day with a friend with the intention of mostly bike riding, and just a short visit down to the beach, but we ended up walking a few miles along the beach. At one point I climbed a dune so she could take a photo of me from the bottom, and when I came back down (after not seeing anyone from the top) I decided to just go for it and strip. It was so nice to finally be able to be nude somewhere like that. My friend was just taking a couple of photos of me - proof I'd done it - when I noticed a man appear at the top of the dune I'd just climbed. At first I was worried because he seemed to hold his arms out in a way I interpreted as "What the hell?!" so I put my shorts on, but he didn't say anything as he walked down and passed us. It was only later I realised that what he'd actually done was mimick the pose I'd done when I climbed the dune - he must have seen me do that, obviously - so I suppose he didn't mind. I could probably have stripped again once he'd passed if I'd wanted, but at least I've done it now. Hopefully I'll find an actual nudist beach someday and enjoy it properly.

Bob,
Next time try a legal nude beach, it's much more enjoyable and relaxing when your not looking over your shoulder worried about getting caught.

I would if I could, but there are only a couple of them in the UK and I can't easily get to any. I've been looking into it though and there is a small campsite which is very close to me, so I'll visit there, someday

We have made some friends in the UK and they are going to a nude swim every two weeks. I understand they have a few nude swims in different places. If we lived overthere we would go to them.

There are a few places which have nude swims, yes, but they don't really appeal much to me - not that there are any in my area anyway. I like to swim, not so much on the socialising thing. I'd go to a club with a pool and such so that I could enjoy the facilities, and I'm no social leper; I would interact with people, but for me the main thing is enjoying being nude. I'll hopefully end up living near a proper nude beach someday, that'll make me happy enough.

Yesterday was me an my girls first time
to a nude beach. We visited Gunnison Beach in NJ. At first we were a bit anxious as we walked around to find a spot. At first we were tryn to find a spot sort of away from everyone but ended up right infront of everyone close to the water. Being right out front of the crowd we got even more anxious an it took about 1/2 hour for anything to come off. It started with her top, soon followed by my clothes an then her bottoms too! We bathed in the sun for some time an then got up an went into the water! It was so much easyier move in the water. I carried my swim brief in just incase of the jelly fish. Good thinking on my part beach I didn't want to get my penis or testicles stung. After a little swimming I remove my suit an we took a long stroll down the beach. It was such a freeing experience to being nude at the beach with out a care in the world. After we got back to our spot man named chris came up an could tell it was our first time from our ghostly white butts an asked how it was going an welcomed us to Gunnison beach. Told us we looked the we have been there a million times. When it came time to leave it was a bummer. We packed up she got dressed an I walked all the was to the sign an then put my suit back on. I can't wait to go again an wished I had done this years ago. I'm only 20, but that's 20 less year of my life that I missed out on being nude! But hey I found it an have the rest of my life to be apart of this wonderful community!

I haven't read all 22 pages, so don't know if anyone has had a first experience like this or not, but actully my first time going to a nude beach was a first date!! I initially thought he was kidding when he asked if I'd like to go, I had never heard of this beach before (it's a privatly owned beach), but went along with it. I kept my suit on for a bit, I wasn't quite ready to bare all, but he'd been there before so it was natural for him. I went in for a swim and took my suit off and threw it on the beach, that way I'd have to get out naked. I can't say I was completely comfortable that first time, but was proud of myself that I did!

Hi,
Fascinated by reading the various "first time" nude experiences on this list.
For many years I sort of wondered about what visiting a nude beach or spending a lot of time nude outdoors would be like, but without ever getting up the nerve to try it.
Well, 3 years ago I found myself in southern California on business, and had heard about San Onofre State Park having a clothing optional area. Quivering with anticipation and wonder, I drove down the lengthy parking lot, parked the rental car, and headed down to the beach in my shorts and t-shirt.
Sure enough, walking to the far south end of the beach, I started seeing naked people. Then a volleyball court with a nude ball game going on. Some tents, people chatting. Men and women, a few of the women with bottoms on but the men almost 100% nude. I found an open patch of sand and (for some reason) shyly, discreetly pulled off my shirt and then my shorts. My penis and butt out there for all to see. It was stunning how wonderful and freeing it felt. I spent some time strolling, some time sitting, enjoying the easy-on-the-eyes scenery of private parts bobbing by. Hoping people were enjoying seeing my naked body, but with no illusions that I am anything great to behold. 
The hours I had to spend there passed quickly, and I hated to leave. Since then, I have tried to find places and opportunities to go nude outdoors elsewhere, but living in a populated area in the Midwest this is difficult. Best wishes to all!

My first experience was at a club in South Carolina. I told my wife we were going to try something different and I told her about my ides. She wasn't really convinced I would go through with it but her doubts were erased when we pulled into the gate with our camper. I was able to easily adapt to this new recreation but my wife was more apprehensive. She did engage in the nude activities but she was very reserved and not very talkative which is unusual for her. I thought that she had warmed up to to it by the second day but later I discovered that she was ready to leave when the time came.
As for me, the experience was profound. I had one of the best experiences of my life. I particularly enjoyed the swimming and lounging by the pool. Usually, I get antsy when I hang out by a pool for a few hours and I'm ready to go a do something different but being by the pool naked was so relaxing that I would have stayed for a week if time had permitted. After the experience, I was ready to go again but my wife did not share my excitement. She was glad she went but would prefer that she never go again. We have been 2 times since then but she kept to herself and did not engage with others at all. To me, the most fun of all is being able to talk with like minded people and just enjoy the company of other people doing the same things I like to do. I still very much enjoy being nude in a social setting but my wife does not like it and wishes I would just give it up. I keep hoping that things will change but for now, I a grab the opportunity to enjoy some naked recreation whenever my wife is away (which is not often) or I can spend just a few hours AWOL when she is busy with a wedding shower or some kind of "girl" event. I keep hoping that one day she will change her mind and be more open to this but for now, I am just taking it slow.

I was 20 years old and on holidays with a mate in Perth, Western Australia. Swanbourne is a well known nudist beach there and we agreed we had to try it. We went there and positioned ourselves down the beach from the more crowded area and close to the water and took our gear off. We kept by the water just in case we needed the cooling effect of the ocean. We were both surprised at the numbers of nude bathers at the time (maybe there was some novelty to it then, it was about 20+ years ago) and plenty of clothed people. My mate went to sleep by accident the second time we went back and was badly sunburnt where he had not been sunburnt before so he doesn't have quite the same enjoyable memories that I have.
There was some novelty to it but once you got over the new experience it was a very free feeling and I still get that most summers the first time it gets warm enough to go to the beach.

Well yesterday I finally had the chance to bare the nat- ural, and walk into the sun. To swim carefree in this world. in para- dice.
The beaches in the sun. The feeling of the air on my body and the coolness of the clear clean salt waters of the carabean ocean were beyond
words. to walk in the most natural and free way possible, like it was meant to be be. Without a soul to care. their were hundreds others around
but they also were swimming carefree in this wonderful place, watching schools of fish swim by, and talking to each other like they were best friends. Others were out walking on the fine white sands of the beach. We were talking and unashamed, floating and swimming easily in the beautiful blue waters of the bay, the sun warming us with its intense life giving rays from above. Gone were the problems i have had in the past with a swimsuit filling up with air and sand and binding in the worst possible of ways. It was wonderful not to have to sit in a soggy swimsuit for a change. Walking down the beach could not have been easier because even though we all looked a little different, we were all really the same, without any racial, social or sexual barriers to overcome.
My wife on the other hand was a little uncomfortable to say the least. In my heart I know she would have loved it if she would have tried it, but
there were too many issues for her to overcome before she could justify shedding her body armor. If you like you could blame it on age, you could blame it on her self image. You could say it is the taboos someone has drilled into her head for years, that the body is bad, and seeing it is a sin,or something. ( I don't really know anywhere that this is backed up by facts!) You could say she is a little set in her ways or a little hard headed. You could say she only thought nude was crude and lewd, and always sexual in content. I must admit I think it is a shame that 90% of the worlds people are driven by these same miss guided principles. I guess I am lucky to join the 10% or so who may be a little more open to these not so new ideas.

Finally got the courage to go to Port Burwell Beach this summer and loved every minute of it. Went solo the first time and picked a spot behind a tree. After taking my clothes off and feeling the sun on my skin I was hooked. It was an amazing feeling being nude on the beach and got the courage to walk to the water nude in front of other people. Have since been back with a friend and enjoyed walking along the shoreline nude. Wish I had tried this sooner in life. Nothing feels better than being nude on the beach.
