Wouldn't it be great if--the laws were changed to allow you to be nude on your own property.You could do chores around the house nude.Sunbathe on your deck nude etc.

There weren't perv's lurking at beaches,clubs/resorts ,cruise ships and forums,masqueradeing to be genuine.

This is a little off topic. Speaking of interviews, if I remember right, you were on the Glen Beck show a few years ago -- I saw the post and listened.

National Nude Week is generally the first full week after the July 4th holiday. In 2008, it's 7/7-13.
Lots of publicity and marketing is generated by the national US organizations (AANR & TNS) for this week. I do a number of interviews.

We do have the week in July called Nude Recreation Week, not sure of days, i think that would be the perfect time for the city OF --------- to host this monumental event,it'll change the Worlds view and esp. the Goverments respect towards nudism .

The big public events don't seem to attract large groups. I would be happy to see 300 at the Bare to breakers or the WNBR. The DC ride had all of 8 riders last year. While some may not agree on the merits of these events, we don't seem to have many willing. I guess that is the point of this thread.

Rather than trying to organize nudist-specific events, I've always thought it might be more effective to identify key naturist precepts -- like harmony with nature, body health, gender respect -- and then organize an identifiable naturist presence at related mainstream events.
For instance, Earth Day is April 22 this year -- will we participate in events as a group or even sponsor an event spotlighting naturists as the original "live in harmony with nature group"? Another example are the many breast cancer charity walks -- there should always be a naturist presence! Why aren't there skinny-dipping events at the X-Games?
There must be many such opportunities that would just require working with event organizers on appropriate logistics and that would provide a way to highlight what we really stand for. |

Quite true. Bar-S has about 200 yards of forest on the East and West sides, and like, a mile of forest to the North. I'll vouch that there are very few signs of inhabitants, let alone nudity, visible from the highway. |

...someone could convince federal and stare goverments to set aside areas for nude recreation. Why can't there be more places like Sandy Hook NJ or Haulover Beach along the oceans or great lakes. And some state and national parks are so big why couldn't some acerage be set aside much like the Magic Circle in AZ? |

The resort I visit -BarSRanch - has very little fencing for privacy or anything else. The two private roads leading to the resort have fences and gates that are easily walked around but can't be driven around in a car or truck.
I can't remember any barbed wire fencing. Three hundred and eighty-nine acres in area and with dense woods and scrubs on the periphery. I would don clothes before hiking cross country to the boundaries at most places.

Wouldn't it be great if --
- adults were expected to treat nudity with the natural equanimity of children
- laws were above dealing with dress codes and police protected people without reference to clothing
- modesty was universally understood to be a matter of demeanor rather than of dress
- areolae had the social status of ears and toes and elbows
- indoctrinating children on the subject of "private parts" was considered a form a child abuse
- the summer Olympics reverted to being nude
- leading medical journals published conclusive evidence that wearing swimsuits is unhealthy
- Clinton and Obama made competing campaign stops at Glen Eden Sun Club
