A thread about removing your swim suit on a public beach got me thinking about how to achieve that all over tan while not being in fear of getting in trouble. My wife had one of those tan through suits many years ago. It seamed to work well for her, but she is lucky because a little sun bathing gives her a nice dark tan. I was wondering if anyone currently uses one, and what is your opinion. Are they worth the money? Has the material gotten better? I know going to a resort would easily allow us to get that tan, but we are new to nudism, and my wife is reluctant to try social nudism at this time.
I like mine alot and thinking of getting another. There is another string about no tan lines where it is discussed as well. They have an spf of about 6 or so and you need to move the waist band around occasionally. It's also porous enough that it dries quickly so that you are not sitting in a wet suit...on those occasions when you have to wear a suit that is :)
My wife owned one when they first came out. If they've improved their "tan thru" abilities ... then it may be worth while but the one my wife owned still left tan lines.
I have 4 of these type of suits and love the "lightness" of them. Mrs Jimmie also has a couple of them as well and wears them all the time. Always have one laying around the house too, just in case the doorbell rings and need to put something on quickly. When we are camping in the summer, I live in my tan throughs all weekend...unless I can get away with being naked at some point as mentioned in another post!
