I was wondering what people thought of getting married in the nude. There was a talk show a few years back that was about different weddings, and one of them was a couple who got married in the nude (on a beach). The rest of the wedding party even decided to get nude.

If it's what you want, go for it. We've had a couple of nudist weddings on our property.
When Allen and I tied the knot almost 10 yrs. ago, we wanted a nude wedding for two reasons. The first was that we are both nudists, and we met because we are nudists. That is our lifestyle. The other reason is that since it is our lifestyle, it is important to me. We got married on the beach at Cypress Cove in the Kissimmee, FL area. It was scheduled at AANR mid-year meeting so that many of my friends from across the country would be able to attend. There's a video at the American Nudist Research Library of the wedding. Even the man who married us remains a nudist and a dear friend. BTW, there was a crasher at the ceremony...an alligator. LOL
Two weeks later, we had a textile ceremony including another marriage license, minister, full dress. There was much less stress at the nudist wedding; I wore only a headpiece and my bouquet...oh yes, I did wear shoes. The license in FL was 67.50, in Richland County, So. Carolina the license was $25. In essence, I planned and carried out two weddings.

Congratulations Cheri, that was lovely. I had read about a couple being married at a nudist club in Florida, I think the groome was in the navy though. I think a nude wedding would be great, but you would have to do it like you did, not all your friends or family would attend a nude wedding.

If I'm ever insane enough to get married I think I would like a nude wedding. Who wants to wear one of those big uncomfortable white dresses? YUCK! Going nude is the only way for me. Of course, you know what the say about marriage: "Marriage is a great institution. I'm just not ready for an institution yet."

Awwwww Melissa, marriage is okay, its just who you are institutionalized with. I have been institutionalized with my inmate for 17 1/2 years, and still loving it. I hope when you do meet the right fella, you get to have a nude wedding. Nice thing about nude weddings is the brides maids' outfits all match.

I'm with Melissa... I'd rather stay single. I went to a mates engagement party on the weekend. There were a lot of married couples slaving over kids and fortunte enough for their one night out in months. They can have that!

Cheri, I'm not actually anywhere near getting married, I just wanted to throw the idea out. I have to find a girlfriend first, and than I'll see what happens.

I was married, now divorced, but if I did get married again it would be a nude wedding. No stress on what to wear etc.I think it would be great to just get married nude and see what the guests would do. Of course let them know beforehand that the wedding is nude. If they want to join you in what you're wearing an added bonus.

Melissa, Notary Publics can officiate at weddings in South Carolina. Allen is able to do the deed as am I. In Florida and Oklahoma they are allowed to also perform wedding ceremonies. He's done several nude weddings including in our backyard. I've been official photographer at a number of nude weddings.

Alright then, I have a few options for people who can officiate at the ceremony. The bridesmaids outfits are all picked out. Actually, the everyone involved with the wedding has superb outfits. Now I just need... the groom. LOL
