There has been a definate change in pubic patterns since I climbed down the cliffs to Black's Beach as an eighteen year-old in 1976. Back then many women, even natural blondes, sported some spectacular growths. Today it is a rarity to see any amount of hair at a nude beach or resort. Darn I miss it.
My wife is 42 and has a naturally large (and long) abundance of pubic hair which grows in a triangular pattern extending on to her inner thighs. In a tacit acknowledgement to conformity she has trimmed her strawberry profusion to roughly an inch in length all the way around and shaves her inner thighs completely. I miss that vision of her at the nude beach in the 80's coming out of the water with a reddish ZZ Top-like pubic bush hanging between her legs.

I say it's like the hair on your head. Wear it as you see fit, and groom as you see fit. ANY way is acceptable.

I agree Natural. And - -,my husband would agree with you. I have a huge bush myself,which would probably fall under your "spectacular growth" description. My upper thighs are quite hairy,but I do shave from the knee down and my underarms. Trends certainly have changed. Our 3 teenage daughters go back and forth with their pubic hair. Currently or oldest,is in an au natural phase. She's growing out her pubic area and not shaving her "bikini line". Our youngest shaves all smooth,and our middle girl is bushy. Ive noticed that most young adults are shaving their pubic hair as a general rule. Per my girls,almost all their friends shave. Even the boys,which has become more popular and in fashion in recent years.

I trm mine with an electric shaver set at a short length, so it is very short, and the same length all over.

Bravo Jenn...to you and your "spectacular growth." No doubt you and my wife still give we male fans something to look foreward to! Perhaps large feminine bushes will come back into vogue someday with help from you and your daughters.

I dont think the "bush" will really ever become popular again. Of course there are many different people with many different preferences, but the media and porn industry has pretty much determined the mainstream here, as well as pretty much set what most people find visually appealing{men especially} Even reading the forums on here the overwhelming majority is into the "smooth look". And thats OK. My husband is smooth, and has been since I have known him. My oldest daughter told me she shaved, since that is what her last boyfriend liked, and she didnt mind at all. Currently the guy she is dating prefers the natural look. I have been au natural for many years, and completely smooth for years before that. If my husband told me when he got home he wanted me to shave completely smooth, I would ,and really wouldnt care either way. Some men look good with or without pubic and or body hair. Personnally I have seen VERY few men that would actually look BETTER if they didnt trim and shave,but Im sure those men are out there. I have seen many women that are shaved that would look better more natural..and I have certainly seen women that were unshaved that would look much better shaved. Depends on the individual person. You should of course do what is comfortable for YOU, and if it applies, try to do what pleases your partner as well.

Mrs. Cookie envys you, and she can't wait for her bush to grow out again. She figures it will take about 4to 6 months, what do you think?
In a way she is kicking herself that she shaved last spring in Palm Springs, and kept it smooth during the summer months.
We just received the current issue of Playboy, and the pictorials have 98% of all the girls shaved. A few of them may have a small landing strip or patch.
Mrs. Cookie says, "They all look alike, they don't have any of their own personality.
Once again we are not here for a long time, so let's have a good time.

Tell Mrs cookie I agree. Thats why my oldest stopped shaving. She is in college and says she is the ONLY one of her friends that doesnt shave. As for your wife's bush it depends how hairy she wants to get. The women in our familys pubic hair grows really fast. Our 16 year old has never shaved or trimmed even her bikini line,so she has a very big bush like her mom! It has become rare amoung nudist women to be all natural. Many have varying degrees of hair but very few are ALL natural. Letting it grow out after being smooth can be just as much of a chore as shaving.

Its really funny, but when I was a post pubescent youth I was concerned that my lack of hair wasn't masculine enough, now however, I'm pleased that I don't have to worry about maintaining body hair, because I don't have any!!

I have never had much body hair. When I was round 20 my girl friend at that time kept her self shaved. She talk me into shaving an from then on I have kept my self trim real close or shaved. To me it's a lot cleaner, cooler an looks a lot better. My wife kept her self shaved. The people I have talk with bout shaving or tirm most all say they keep it tirm or shaved very few let it grow. It seem to me most men keep them self tirm an most ladies keep them self shaved that's just the ones I have been round or talk with. Personly I just don't care for body hair. But like it has been said many time befor to each their own.

I used to shave myself smooth but didn't like having an itchy chest. My pubic area never did get itchy but then it just looked weird having a somewhat hairy chest and shaved bottom. Now I just shave my penis and balls and trim the rest so it blends up to by belly button. I think it looks nice and so does my wife.
