I have been there. It's somewhat rustic but very friendly. CFR was my first experience and I had a great time. Good people, clean amenities and a friendly staff.
I've been to Carolina Foothills. Nice place. Good pool, trail, folks. It's been a while since I was there, but I wish I could go back soon. I'd like to hear how your trip went?
We spent the weekend and had a great time, Good staff and great people made us feel welcome. They've added weekend food service and are having dances on Saturday nights through the summer, We enjoyed walking the trails and the resort roads. Very nude friendly.
