Just up the road in Chesnee SC is Foot Hills Resort. I have been there twice. Very laid back with decent facilities. I wish I was going today!!

I would NOT recommend that resort at this time. It's got lots going on that is not nudist in view of everyone. Maybe after the elections in July there, the new board will get things under control. In fact, a number of long-timers from there will be visiting Cedar Creek on July 4th. There is a nonlanded club near by: North Carolina Naturists as well as Travelites that has some events in the upstate. Both of these nonlanded are affiliated with AANR, and Travelites is also affiliated with TNS.

Cedar creek is the next closest to us here in greenville. its about 2hrs.

What is "not nudist" at Carolina Foothills (CFR). My wife and I are new to the nudist lifestyle. We have visited Carolina Foothills, Cedar Creek and Whispering Pines (in NC). Upon our first impressions, all three seemed pretty much the same. They all had nice members and were pretty laid back. The only thing we noticed that was different was the condition of the facilities. Some were nicer in certain areas than others. We did spend most of our time sunbathing by the pool at all three locations so we may have missed something. We are actually planning another trip to CFR in a couple of weeks and now I am wondering if there is something we should be concerned about,as we are planning on taking our daughter this trip.

When current board members cannot keep their hands to themselves...yes, it's a problem. Let's hope that after the new board is elected, they will get it back to family-friendly. Some of the disheartened members from there will be visiting Cedar Creek over the July 4th weekend.

Thanks for the info. I agree that doesn't sound very family friendly. We saw nothing like that going on while we were there. Everybody seemed really nice but not "overly so".

This may be farther than you want to travel but we see lots of SC people, including Greenville, at the Paradise Valley Resort in Dawsonville, GA. PVR is under new ownership and has been undergoing extensive renovation and is becoming a great destination nudist resort.

Now Teva/Cheri, we've been through this before. Your statements here are vague and maliciously negative. How is anyone supposed to weigh your issues? We certainly can't, based on what you've provided. Also, since you are running a competing nudist enterprise in that area, your motives are suspect.
You should either go back and amend your statement so that it is specific enough for our readers, or face a ban for resort bashing. You know the rules here.

If you live in the Greenville, SC area, Carolina Foothills Resort in Chesnee, SC is the place you wanna go. Been there a lot this Summer, met a lot of nice friendly people and had a ball. You don't know what you are missing if you haven't been there before. September 25 & 26, 2010 they will have a Fall Open House, Free ground fees for everyone both days.

Carolina Foothills Resort is a fine place. I was there in June and found it to be very welcoming and very laid back. I like to hike nude and they have some nice trails ... I ended up hiking every one of them. I recommend it.

I participated in a CO 5K Race at CFR in 2009 and given better health would do so again. A portion of the course was difficult but doable. The regulars were nice.
