1) How many posts must a user make before emails can be sent?
2) If an IM is successfully sent, should there be a copy of it in the outbox or somewhere?

1) We'd rather not say the actual number of emails required, since it is strictly an anti-spam measure. PMs are restricted in the same manner. If we stated the exact number, a spammer would simply post that many times, then start emailing or PMing everybody. It's not a ridiculously huge amount of posts, quite reasonable.
Think about it. How many good posts would you require to keep out the spammers? It's about that many.
2) In your PM Inbox, there is Outbox, that's where your successfully sent PMs will be found.

I wasn't aware of the post limit to for IMs, either. Several members sent me PMs that I replied to, and I didn't realize they weren't going out except that I didn't see the sent IMs in the out box which is why I posted this question in the first place.
I hope the people who IMed me understand I can't reply though.
Just have to participate and get that post count up!
