I usually log on everyday to this site after I get my daughters off to school. I click on the "active topics" for the day and respond when/if I have a comment on a given topic. Lately I have not posted many replies as I have noticed basically the EXACT SAME topics over and over each day.

One of the primary topics that is being discussed over and over is shaving. Personnally I have no problem with shaving, not shaving, having fun with different pubic hairstyles and the like. HOWEVER, how many times can we re-word the same statements? I mean shaving is not an endless topic. Its really all been said. So I have little in response to this anymore.

Another topic that seems to continue to be discussed EVERY SINGLE day is the topic of erections in a nudist setting. I have seen quite lengthy posts discussing in great detail all of the "reasons" one should be able to walk around in public with a huge erection. ITS ALL A BUNCH OF CRAP. Its tacky and immature, PERIOD. I dont see what more discussion there is. Yet, each day for the most part there are new posts in this area.

I would like to think that as nudists we can find other things to discuss than these. Nudism is about much more than these sort of topics. When people come onto these boards and see the majority of posts and discussion about this sort of stuff..that gives off the complete wrong impression of us all. To a newcomer or prospective nudist.. all they are seeing is page after page of us all discussing how we shave our pubic hair and talking about hard-ons. I think we should all try to expand our topics of discussion. Im sure Im not the only one that feels this way.

Jennifer,

I'm positive you are not alone with feeling this way. I completely agree but have to be honest, I will respond...occasionally if I see that a new person has joined and has, what I feel is, a legitimate question or concern on either topic.

You are correct in stating that both these topics seem to dominate many of the naturist boards and almost all that I frequent. I sometimes wonder if it all the same people using different names on different boards. Be that as it may, those two topics do seem to occupy too much time. It doesn't seem that having a FAQ section for these two topics helps either. It seems to interest some for whatever reason.

There are also two other topics that are discussed frequently but most times people ask......"what does politics and religion have to do with naturism?" Most times, I don't get involved in either because you just can't make anyone see your side to either topic. Opinions run high and many times these discussions end up very heated and sometimes uncivil.

I would hope we could talk about other things as well. PM to follow.

A

First post since joining last fall. Too close to what I think to ignore this one.

I think the issue might be 750 women to 6,000 men as members. A heck of a lot of the men are surly not nudists and keep this stuff alive for other reasons. My wife and I are card-carrying nudists with membership in a landed club and have a place there too. It seems to be that only a topic or two per day, if that, is of interest to us on this site. Keep trying to elevate the conversations to stuff of intrest.

Thanks for all the good posts that we see.

Here, here! Let's see if we can all move on to more adult nudist topics, if possible.

Jennifer,

Thank you for speaking out about this. I have in the past stated that those topics in particular where getting repetitous. I however find it difficult to start a new topic about other nudist things that already haven't been discussed previously, which is probably why I don't post as much as you and most others here. Anyway, I just hope this doesn't push you away from these boards permanently. I for one enjoy reading your posts and comments here and I believe it would be a big loss if you where to leave. I am open for suggestions for new topics.

THANK YOU JENNIFER AND AMEN TO THAT!!!

I simply stopped responding or even reading most of those threads. In fact I think those who constantly revive them are not really very experienced nudists simply those who have an agenda to push.

I recomend ignoring those threads and only post on interesting topics.

in response to,, allnaturalwife ,,yes sure there are heaps of repeating topics and lots of people agree, however very few offer any new ones!I believe if one starts a new topic and it is a bit controversial or people have a perception it is ,all the so called purists come out of the woodworks and question the intend.I for one together with my partner {female} have been nudists since childhood we're not connected with any group or club purely doing our own thing. We love and maintain our bodies including shaving and we're fully aware of our sexuality, which we also honour, and that at times includes a erection we are sexual beings after all.I believe that some nudists are not as free as they make out to be and should ask themselves what it really is what makes them tick.So how is that for a topic?

Good point I will post a new topic every other week for two months. If we all did the same, that might do it. What do you think?

I'd have to agree about the repetition...

The only reason I think they do get brought up as much as they do is concern from newer members. Those of us who have been around here for a while know the lay of the land so to speak... Sometines it is easier to ask a question than to find the answers in an existing thread...

I wonder if a Popular Topic FAQ would help out in this regard. It could be sent with the email verification of the users email address.

I also agree with you Jenn. A lot of the posts are repetitive and many topics just don't interest me.

I don't post often because most of the time there isn't anything to add, and being a "Me too" isn't my style. (yes I'm doing it now)And I really just don't have that many questions; and any I have had I've noticed someone else had the same question previously.

That said; You guys are some of the nicest people I've run into on the net! I'll see if I can come up with a few topics of my own.

Tim

It would seem that it is the role of the moderator to cut off certain threads that have gone on ad nauseum with little new being said. Instead, this board seems to flag such threads as "hot topics" and encourages further posts and discussion. I would add to the list questions such as how long have you been nude (I didn't realize that this was a competitive sport), do you wear underwear (when appropriate), and are you ever nude alone (sometime every day). Personally, I'd like to see more trip reports of resorts, landed clubs, and other places I might like (or not) to visit. I'm particularly interested in reports of where not to go. I'll never get to all of the places that have been recommended, but I'd sure like to avoid visiting the places that are less than suitable (no pun intended).

Dave

Those are good points as well dave00. That is why my posts have become fewer and far between. I will respond to such threads as the ones you mentioned.. BUT only once or maybe a few times. But there is only so much to say about those subjects. Even when making legitimate responses. Pm me for trip reports if you would like. We have been sooo many places both with our children and without. I would consider myself s VERY good authority an a lot of nudist destinations. Been to over 40..too many to list. And I will tell you what the brochure wont..Ie: the climate and atmosphere and "what kind of people you will find there" What the places are REALLY like. Gave a brief one on Sea Mountain..and some idiot has been spamming me ever since. That is why, if you want to know specifics on a given resort..pm me so its not out in the open forum and I get bombarded with pms, as I have regarding the {quite acurate and truthfull posts} I made about that "resort".
