All nudist clubs and resorts that my family and I have been to..and thats around 50 or so like Cheri..Do have fences and you cannot see any nudity from the public roads. So they are all ok in this regard.

You'd need a Sherman Tank to break through into our club which has a moat like brooke plus high walls and stinging nettles. We do however have one tramp who passes through twice a year to camp out overnight going north & then later south and nobody has a clue how he gets in.

Thank god we live in a nice rural area.
We are able to enjoy our back yard which is surounded by nothing but trees and shrubs.
Our nearest neighbor is quite a distance away.
During the Summer months when we have the group over for a party, we don't have to worry.
During the Winter months it is just a short sprint to the hot tub, and it is able to accomadate 12 people, so we take turns.
Oh how I wish I lived in Palm Springs, I certainly would endure the dramatic heat of the the summer to be able to enjoy the rest of the year.
Running out the the hot tub in the snow is not fun, but we all do have fun.
We are here only for a short time, so let's have a good time.

Jennifer, I'm curious as to the reaction and /or comments of the people that you greeted at your door in the nude.

Some you with the high fences are missing the point. My post said wouldn't it be great if the laws were changed to allow you to be nude on your own property.

What I would like, Reverend, is for the whole world to be clothing optional. That way you could wear only what you NEED to wear and HAVE to wear because of laws. No one could complain because it would be legal. It's a nice dream anyway, and I'm a dreamer.
That would be nice. If it was made crystal clear that it was legal to walk down Main Street nude, would there be any social stigma in doing so? Cap D'Agde may be a nudist town, but what about San Francisco and St. Petersburg? Raleigh and Roanoke? Portland, ME, and Portland, OR? Wouldn't that be nice!

Although it would be great if the whole world were clothing optional, it wont ever happen. What we can hope for here in the US, is more tolerance of nudity,as there is in Europe. Lets work towards that first. Nude2..to answer your question: Anyone who comes to our door we are expecting, and they know we will be nude when we answer it. We dont really get to many unexpected visitors, such as door-to-door sales men and such. We dont receive mail or deliveries at our home. All those go to our post office box. The only other thing I can think of, is when we get a pizza delivered or something, and in that case-- whoever answers the door( me,one of my girls,or my hubby) will throw on a wrap that we keep hanging on the back of the door, answer it,,close it..then take the wrap right back off.
Jenn.

I would be happy if the laws were changed to allow nudity in your backyard where maybe as long as it was obscured from the roadway that would make it legal, and than if your neighbors were bothered by your nudity they would have to adjust with a fence or scrubs, pretty much what my neighbor behind has done. What ever happened to freedom of expression.

Wouldn't it be great if-------- 1)everyone accepted nudism everywhere. 2)porn sites didn't use images of nudism. 3)people could work nude in hot workplaces. 4)every beach had a clothes opt. section. 5)public swimming pools allowed suit optional. 6)our favorite hobbies could be done nude. reverend, you asked this great question and these are just a few of my ifs and then some.

It WOULD be great. In an ideal world, nudity would be accepted as commonplace. In a less ideal, but still idealistic world, people would get along with their neighbors, and accept anything that wasn't physically impeding on their own lives. We're kind of in between, right now. Your neighbors have a choice not only to not look, but not be offended, as well. In the real world, some do, some feel "compulsed", and some are offended. Some might argue that a naked person taking out the trash is imposing. They were casually looking out of their front window (at 4 in the morning), and out-of-the-blue, this person across the street brazenly "wagged his genitalia RIGHT AT me!" My argument to that is this (and good luck getting lawmakers to agree with me); If there is clearly no intent to arouse others (minor or not), and the person who is on his own property does not seem to derive perverse rewards from his or her choice of costume (i.e., the yet undefined legal definition of an exhibitionist), the homeowner in question should be allowed any freedom that is permissible inside the home. (No. I'm not a lawyer, but I do sometimes talk this way.) My point is this. If trash on the front lawn is unenforceable, but noise violations ARE, why is there a difference? If the argument is that "people can close their eyes but not their ears" is the answer, then clearly the next question is "Is the natural state of the human body equated with garbage on the front lawn?"
As for causing traffic accidents, I truly believe that that's a temporary problem. If people were used to seeing nudity, attractive people would only cause as many traffic accidents as they already do.

Wouldn't it be great if --
- adults were expected to treat nudity with the natural equanimity of children
- laws were above dealing with dress codes and police protected people without reference to clothing
- modesty was universally understood to be a matter of demeanor rather than of dress
- areolae had the social status of ears and toes and elbows
- indoctrinating children on the subject of "private parts" was considered a form a child abuse
- the summer Olympics reverted to being nude
- leading medical journals published conclusive evidence that wearing swimsuits is unhealthy
- Clinton and Obama made competing campaign stops at Glen Eden Sun Club

The resort I visit -BarSRanch - has very little fencing for privacy or anything else. The two private roads leading to the resort have fences and gates that are easily walked around but can't be driven around in a car or truck.
I can't remember any barbed wire fencing. Three hundred and eighty-nine acres in area and with dense woods and scrubs on the periphery. I would don clothes before hiking cross country to the boundaries at most places.
Best Wishes, Jim

...someone could convince federal and stare goverments to set aside areas for nude recreation. Why can't there be more places like Sandy Hook NJ or Haulover Beach along the oceans or great lakes. And some state and national parks are so big why couldn't some acerage be set aside much like the Magic Circle in AZ?

Quite true. Bar-S has about 200 yards of forest on the East and West sides, and like, a mile of forest to the North. I'll vouch that there are very few signs of inhabitants, let alone nudity, visible from the highway.
