Hey, happy thanksgiving to you lot in the US, ... it does mean much down under as crops have only been planted (well down south anyway), harvests are some time away. Up north here things grow while you watch them, .... so to speak. Enjoy your day. SBN.

I could use a couple of months down under. Hate winter, except for all the Christmas decorations, and the love and warmth associated with the season. It would be novel to have Christmas day during a hot spell down under.
Wondering if the northern half of the world is down under instead. We'll never know. Those Aussies, New Zealanders, Chileans, and Argentinians just might be on top of the world. Who's to say?

Don't know about that ... we've had some pretty warm Christmas Day's here in So. Cal! Wishing and hoping for a cold day, only to find that the high temp, on many, many Christmas Days, was 80 degrees or warmer! Hell ... we even swam in our pool and had a BBQ on Christmas Day!
But ... I'd still, nonetheless, love to visit "down under!"

Australia is on my bucket list as well. I don't know if it will ever be a reality but I can dream!

Come on over, we have lots of space and plenty to see, it's just a long way between some things. You'll be giving thanks you did. SBN.

I lived in Australia (age 6 to 9) and I recall vividly Christmas Dinner on the beach at Cronulla (near Sydney) - fruit salad instead of Christmas Puddin'.
'Wondering if the northern half of the world is down under instead'. Somwhere I have a map of the world that shows the South Pole at the top of the mapsheet. Makes you think .. who IS upside down? When you stand at the North Pole, the sky is above you, just like it is at the South Pole or the Equator. So 'up' is above you wherever you are ... this summer I went 'up' (or was it 'down'?) to California from Canada, and forperiF looked quite normal from stood I where!

I've seen that map recently. I had to look twice as I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me. I had a great Thanksgiving. I hope everyone else did as well. Now...getting ready for Christmas.
