No Topic Needed In This Thread - Topic-Free Zone

There was a good suggestion for an "off topic" topic, where the Admin won't gripe at you for ignoring the subject!

And so, drum roll please, the moment we have been waiting for has finally arrived! In this thread, and this thread only, it matters not what the subject is, nor if there was a subject in the first place. So, what's new with you?

Had a great time at Sandy Hook on Saturday.

It was very crowded...lots of people out having fun.

We got there late and still got the closest parking spot possible....just b/c the sign says lot full...doesnt mean there arent any spaces ;)

Stay out from around 1 until 6....great weather...water was warm...perfect day.

Hello everyone,
been a while since I was able to visit and Its been a very bad and busy few months for me, I've had three deaths in the family, worst was my Father's he was 87 , five hospital stays, two operations, grand child was in a wreck and got a broken leg and has been in a cast from chest down for two months. she got it off last week and every thing looks good for full recovery. Now after all of this my own health is declining. Been very little time for visiting here or doing much of any thing but taking care of others. some how I have been able to remain sane( I think ). just posted this so you would know what happened to me.

I'll be back soon!
just me Willy

I just woke up. Sometimes it's important to announce these kind of things. I'm kind of awake now but not completely. It's not even 11am yet, too. Pretty impressive, huh?

Good Morning Melissa!!

We just woke up ourselves. Got in really late last night from our trip to Sweden and Denmark. Plane delays, lost luggage and a limo that didn't show up to pick us up...dispite all that we had a great trip...just a wee bit jet lagged!

Take care of yourself Willy, and good luck to your granddaughter. She'll probably be in for some therapy after twp months in a cast.

Willy,

Sorry to hear all the bad news. I hope things are getting better for you and yours now, and take care of yourself too!

God Bless,

Send your heat to Nebraska. It's been 10 to 20 degrees below normal here and lots of rainy days.

Hello! Had to wipe my computer clean back to out of box condition and lost my favorite places. Had trouble finding the address to this site. Forgot the - in nudist-resorts and that it was a .org instead of a .com or .net.

Willy,

my condolences for the loss of your father and my sympathies for the other calamities of late.

It takes a while to get back to feeling yourself again after all the stress. After a number of months caring for my mother before her passing, was wiped out.

Two and a half months later, I am not tired all the time, my blood pressure is almost normal, but the wear and tear gets to you. so we have to take care of ourselves, too.

Yes, yes, easier said than done, but you have to do it .

Besy wishes.

Hi everybody. I'm back. Wasn't gone too long, but I had to go away for a couple of days. Saturday (8-28-04) I had a heart attack. I got to take an 80 mph ambulance ride (that part was fun) from my local hospital about 40 miles to Abbot Northwestern Heart Hospital in Minneapolis for an emergency angioplasty with 2 stents placed in my heart veins. I feel great now, but I thought this time I was going to check out. Its nice to be close to one of the best heart hospitals in the country. It really was a major bummer though, because I had my 13 year old son spending the night with me and I didn't want him to wake up Sunday morning for church and find me dead. If he wasn't here with me, I probably wouldn't have gone, so it's a good thing he was here. I had my daughter come back before she left town and pick him up and he rode to the hospital with my brother and my nephew and my daughter rode along in the ambulance.

(Still kickin')Randy

Thanks, calmnude. I will. The good thing about the angioplasty proceedure is that it is a very minimally invasive proceedure now a days. And recovery is almost nothing. The sorest things on me are where they jabbed me with those da-- IVs. Not like that bypass I had 8 years ago. Now that recovery is sore, slow and it sucks. But it's clear, I have to do a better job of taking care of myself.

Randy
