Hi Everyone,
Hope all is well. I am concerned about Yahoo. Recently I have been unable to login into my account and it appears that someone hacked into my system and stole my passwords (I guess that's what I get for having a cable modem)

Does anyone know how I can contact Yahoo and correct this issue and begin to use my account again? I haven't been able to find any avenues yet and I have tried to recover my password but it won't work.

Thanks for the help!

Your best direction would be to create a new account on Yahoo.

Have you tried to go to the login screen and possibly ask for your password to be emailed??

Also, if you think you were hacked from the outside, you may want to invest in a firewall or router. Many people with cable modems (and probably some with DSL) are connected directly to the internet with no interviening devices. A firewall allows someone to visit your computer, or the device with the firewall in it, but will not let them any further. While firewalls are typically software, many devices like routers also contain them.

A router goes between the modem and the computer and usually contain a firewall and gives you a different IP address than your connection to the internet gives you. Although not extreme security, it is better than a raw connection and not very expensive (my first router cost me $30).
