Posted - 02/25/2012 : 2:59:04 PM Just in the last 2 months or so I have had 8 seperate doctor visits that required me to be nude. I have a problem with a cyst on my buttocks and have been going to the doctor multiple times in an attempt to get it taken care of. I go back again in 2 weeks. I had been wishing I could have more chances to be nude in front of others but this is hardly the way I would have wanted it having people cut on my rear end over and over again. Usually they offered me a gown though with me spending most of the time face down nude the gown wouldn't do much anyway and I sometimes just ended up taking it off. This week however the nurse probably remembering that I didn't seem all that worried about being nude didn't bother to offer me a gown. Usually the nurse in the past would give me a gown and leave the room while I undressed and put the gown on. This time she did not bother with the gown and did not leave the room. She just suggested I take my clothes off and lay down on the table. She did have a sheet to cover me after I layed down on the table. After the visit she stayed in the room talking to me and getting some things together for me to take home. She did not do or say anything unusual or inappropiate about me stripping and later dressing in front of her. Especially after the amount of time recently that I have spent nude at doctors offices I wasn't bothered by it so much but some patients would have been more bothered by having someone in the room while they were dressing and undressing and not offered a gown at all. I assume that had I asked for a gown she would have gotten me 1 though I did not see any in the room. What was embarrassing about the visit was the fact that after spending a period of time laying face down nude on the table I was now wet from precum and left a wet spot on the plastic sheet on the table. They did not mention it but had to have seen it at least when they cleaned up. There was of course nothing I could have done to prevent it. I wonder whether the same thing will happen when I go back in 2 weeks as far as the nurse not offering me a gown. Either way I hope it will be the last visit. I have been dealing with this problem for more than 2 months and hope it will finally be better. |

Posted - 08/18/2017 : 7:51:03 PM Yes indeed, dodgy drink and full on effect, the procedure is not an issue but it is worth it. If you are having a gascroscopy (? not sure of the spelling?) too, make sure they do that first, otherwise you may have a bad taste in your mouth when you wake up ...... just joking.
Cheers, SBN. |

Posted - 08/18/2017 : 07:22:28 AM I agree FP! The procedure itself is a piece of cake...nice little power nap. For anyone that has been putting this off...please don't. Like FP said, it's best to catch something early while it can still be treated. |

Posted - 08/18/2017 : 01:09:01 AM First time we had the procedure, we had to drink a gallon of this liquid. We were given flavor packets to give the liquid some taste ... I chose grape and it tasted like grape flavored soapy water! I just chugged down the rest without the flavor packets.
This time, ten years later, we have the same prep you speak of ... liquid diet, fasting, take one dose in the evening and then the other at 3 am the next morning. That being said, it's better than the alternative ... finding out something very serious is going on up there that can be caught and treated before it's too late!
I'd do this every year if it was needed!

Posted - 08/17/2017 : 3:07:55 PM I agree SBN...the prep drink is the worst of the whole procedure. That drink is not the best tasting for sure. At least the first time around you don't know that until after the first sip.The second time, you know before the first sip. |

Posted - 08/17/2017 : 08:26:20 AM Yes indeed. People talk about the prep but until you go through it it's hard to "appreciate". I was due for a 10am procedure on Monday, had to fast for Friday & Saturday and eat bland boring food, no fruit, little taste. Sunday, no solids, liquid only. 5pm had to take the prep drink, horrible taste, full on effect. Trouble was had to wake early Monday just to do it again, the trouble is you know how bad that tastes and what the effect will be.
Started getting undressed while the nurse was giving me instructions, she said I could wait, I said I was fine. She kept talking but discreetly left when I was nearly nekked. I did have to give myself a laugh and flash my bare butt through one of those wonderful gowns. I think one nurse had a bit of a laugh.
Cheers, Chief and Prof ..... Enjoy, and I want to hear about some efforts at flashing the staff. |

Posted - 08/16/2017 : 09:43:39 AM Yeah ... we are aware that the prep is worse than the procedure. This is our second time going in together and having the procedure done. They'll be about 30-45 mins apart!

Posted - 08/16/2017 : 07:00:10 AM Hey Chief and the Prof, I won't be rude and say enjoy, the liquid you have to take first is no fun at all. Might have to find an esthetician myself out here. Cheers, SBN. |

Posted - 08/15/2017 : 3:41:56 PM Going in for our colonoscopies next week! We'll be asleep as well. I just got waxed so I'm ready! I'll shave my wife a couple days before and she'll be ready.
Not a doctor's visit but my visits to the esthetician, a registered nurse, are always me naked and she dressed. She did comment on that on my last visit and stated that I must be a nudist because of my all over tan and my comfort of being nude in front of her. I told that we both were and have been for over 44 years! She said, "can we talk about that on your next visit? I'd love to know more!"

Posted - 08/15/2017 : 07:22:46 AM Had my EEG, no chance to get nekked, plus it's winter and not a warm environment to get the gear off. Had a colonoscopy yesterday and did get naked but only as needed. Was asleep for most of it, not sure if they appreciated me. Ha Ha.
Cheers, SBN. |

Posted - 08/15/2017 : 12:49:33 AM 2 years ago I was given a gown after being told to remove my shirt. When the (female) doctor came in, the gown was still folded just like I got it. Handed it to her and said "this seems rather silly. I hope you don't mind." She took it from me but, didn't comment.

Another recent first for me, having someone else shave my pubic hair for me. I was going in recently for a biopsy in my groin area which required them to first shave my pubic hair. They used an electric razor and did not do a very thorough job, only shaving the pubic area above my privates, leaving the rest, since that was all that was required for the biopsy.
That's why I now ask if there is any prep needed before any procedures done to me that are below the waist. I had shaved myself two days before my angio cath procedure. It wasn't because I was having the procedure, it was just my normal routine to shave every couple of days.
When I arrived and was being prepped with a gown, wristband and IV, the nurse said, "I have to shave you for the procedure." She pulled the sheet back, folded my gown over and said ... "wow, you already did that and you did a thorough job!" I just said, "thanks!" No need to tell her that it's normal for me that way.
This way ... I get it done right, done completely and not just a small area in which they are going to work. If I'm going to be shaved, I'll schedule my wax appointment in time to have that done a few days before a procedure where I'd need to be shaved.

Just had the same thing. Nurse said she needed to shave me and I said "good juck finding any hair" She peeked under my gown and just walked away. The doctor went through my WRIST. Being a cardiology patient, I make sure my chest and ARMS/HANDS are hairless. Lots of stickers, IVs. They seem to see how much tape they can use because I'm on blood thinners, even for a blood test. Nothing like a nurse asking about your tan while SHE is worrying about others seeing my bare butt. They kept my over night after an other procedure. The nurse starts with the "I need to look All over your body.." speech. I just sat at the edge of the bed because the door was open. She just said "do you have anything I should know about?" then left. Next morning different nurse asked if they had "looked me over' the day before. I told her what happened the day before. FYI- I was wearing a much too small gown, open in the front, with pants, the day before as this was the "dress code" for the test I had had earlier.

Posted - 08/12/2017 : 5:30:08 PM During a physical I had a Dr say "Someone must be getting ready for the beach, nice tan". Another time in the same office a nurse was giving me a shot in my butt cheek and said, Nice Tan. Angie has had the same compliments about her tan also.
I'm sure everyone in the office know we are nudists.
