Any member can edit(delete) their profile. Removing all your posts can be time consuming as they must be deleted one by one. If you feel the forum is dead, then why bother?

When I worked at Los Alamos and had a security clearance I listed my nudist affiliations on my clearance renewals, including being an officer of a AANR group. The security people only care if you are trying to be secret (they will probably find out anyway). So just list it and be public about it. Nobody can blackmail an nudist who doesn't keep it a secret.

Sometimes the easiest way to keep a secret is to make it public

There was an AANR travel club in Los Alamos where most of the members worked at the government Laboratory and held security clearance for nuclear weapons. Bor3dnudist...check with tbe Admin to find out what your options are. I believe he can delete the profile and keep the posts to maintain continuity of the thread. Rob

Some posters, when they leave a forum, delete all the posts they've contributed. "Leaving no paper trail", so to speak. Maybe it's a dash of paranoia; maybe something was said that really made them mad.

But to answer the original question; my bookshelf has quite a few nudist publications. Anyone spending time in my apartment is eventually going to notice them. At that point it's up to them to ask "what's that all about", or just leave it alone.

Looks like they were deleted by the poster Willy. I wonder why?

What happened to the rest of the posts here since 2009?

There are subtle ways to introduce nudism to them, such as talking about a made-up newspaper article, you "saw somewhere", on skinny dipping, and mention it to a person who you think is open-minded. Perhaps this way would be a "foot in the door" to further discussion about nudity.

I've been slowly testing the waters amongst my friends. Mostly online. I have several different networks which vary from almost exclusively strangers to almost exclusively people I have know in real life for a very long time.

Obviously, in this forum, nobody would be shocked to hear that I visited a nudist resort. But in some of the others (which include family members) I've filled out those stupid "25 things about me" memes, and mentioned in passing that I "once" visited a nudist resort (omitting the years of living nude at home). So far, everyone has been pretty cool about it, and in the closer sets, they've pretty much commented on everything BUT my social nudist experience. In some of the other forums, where people don't know me very well, they actually went so far as to ask me about it. I think the trick to it is to be open about it without being overt. The less a big deal you make about it, the less they will. And I think you'll be surprised. Over the past few years, I've discovered that some of my friends are also nudists, or at least curious about it. I would never have known if dialogue about it hadn't started.

I'll share a personal anecdote. Many years ago I got a phone call from my brother who told me he and his wife needed character references because they wanted to join a club. When I asked him what sort of club he said a kind of specialized campground. As I asked for more information - this all seemed a little strange coming from him - he said that it was a "CO" campground. What he didn't know about me and I about him was that we were both nudists. So when he said "CO" I told him that I'd be happy to write the reference for them. I'm a clergyman and apparently that holds more weight!?!
What I'm saying is that until someone starts talking, nothing can be accomplished. We have now had vacations together and it's great!
A quick caveat: I'm not sure about putting a picture of yourself nude in the living room (at least at first). Why not a picture of a family having dinner at a nudist resort. A sort of Norman Rockwell setting which should not offend anyone and yet still get the conversation going.
Just my 2cents.

Have a photo of yourself blown up maybe to 10x13 and hang it in your living room trying to portray it to your interest like hiking, boating or simular interest so its not just a posed picture, when friends or family visit they with be able to see it and open the conversation to your nudist interest, than explain maybe that you are nude certain days - nights of the week and that if they visit they are pre warned which may bring others to join in. Of course it could backfire depending on your family or frinds.
