Im new to nudism and i am really starting to enjoy it. I have met a lot of friends and want to be as open and comfortalbe as possible. I have been in some conversations wiith some femalse and they have complained about their apprerance, and i want to say that they are beautyful to me without being sexual and comming onto them. Is there a right and wrong way?

If I am nude with new nudists who I know I often just tell them they had nothing to be afraid of their body is fine. I would never tell her if it happens to be a woman with me like "Oh see over there look at her, your tits are much nicer than hers etc" Would never say that.

Basically, I would say make sure it is an over all assesment, and not specific to a particular body part. And DEFINITELY should not be the first or second thing you say (or third or fourth).

I had a guy tell me my boobs were nicer then his girlfriends. I told him I was glad I was not her!

At my age, I'm always pleased when I receive a compliment on my looks. I have noticed that the men on the beach will usually tell me I have a nice "body" as opposed to a nice "figure" or something like that. Is that just a guy thing?

One time at an art class I was posing for, an older lady told me I had a "nice butt". A few people chuckled at that comment and she quickly added, "I mean it has a nice shape; it's nice to draw!" I think she was a bit embarrassed, lol! I just smiled and said thanks.

Your quite welcome honeysuckle, I didn't mean just because you were talking to a woman she would be fishing for a comment. What I did mean was in that situation and the lady was complaining about her looks she certainly wouldn’t want you to agree with her, she would want a complement instead.

Thank you, Diger. I was responding to your comment that if you're talking to a woman, she's "probably fishing for compliments anyway". That's quite a blanket statement, and not a true one. It's not a matter of who "has to" or who doesn't.

Honeysuckle,

I don't think you would ever have to fish for a complement and I can't see you complain about your looks either.

I'll have to say you are one classy lady.

Mc Nigel... I have read enough threads on these forum topics to now know everyone " looks ". Just don't be a pig and stare and I did say timing is everything . The people I have befriended over the years are all pretty good natured people . But thank you for encouraging caution .

Careful chaps. It generally isn't acceptable for you to acknowledge that you have even looked at a nudist's body.
So think twice before saying things like "I see purple isn't your natural hair colour".

I think it is ok to compliment someone when the timing calls for it. Last summer I had met a couple on the beach and we were just making small talk when the wife said to me " that lady over there sure has a great figure " . I agreed, however I followed that she had paid for it all since she clearly had breast work done . I then explained my preference was the more natural look of a womans breasts . I told her that she had beautiful breasts ( she did ) and she certainly enjoyed the compliment with a big smile and thank you . Just be a gentelman and non threating .

Bad: Have you ever appeared on TV as a professional woman wrestler?

Good: Didn't I meet you at U.C.L.A.? You have that natural outdoor look that I remember.

Bad: It seems like you were the model in that ad for losing weight. You know; the "before" picture model.

Good: You look like you just won the Publisher's Clearing House Sweepstakes.

Bad: You look like you were dragged to this nudist resort, on a gravel road, in the nude.

Good: You have gorgeous teeth. Would you tell me how you take care of them?

Bad: My gosh, your teeth look like something an archaelogist would like to see.

Good: I can't believe your age; my (grand)son would die for a chance to go out with you.

Bad: You said that you were a nudist at this resort since you were 19 years old. Was that way before this state was admitted to the Union, or a just a little after?

Some of us don't feel the need to fish for compliments.

If you are in a conversation with a female and it is open enough for her to complain about her looks, believe me she was probably fishing for a compliment anyway. As far as a right and wrong way, just remember what Ms. Franklin use to sing about R E S P E C T.

Honeysuckle and Pilot you made some good points, I would definately wait for the person to give a lead in before I would compliment someone on their appearence.

Right Way: Have you lost weight recently? You look terrific!

Right Way: You must really be into those new workouts with your trainer. You look terrific!

Wrong Way: You were right. Those jeans did make you look fatter than you really are!

Wrong Way: You look way better than Oprah!

Is there a right and wrong way?

Right way: "Hi ... you look nice." ... (accompanied by a friendly smile)

Wrong way: "Hey baby, nice ta-ta's."
