Ok, let's try this again, in the correct forum this time!
My wife and I are going to South-Central Colorado (near Westcliffe) for the Memorial Day weekend. Are there any hot springs or places to do some nude hiking around there? |

I would certainly give them a call right now and make a reservation for Memorial weekend. That way, you know you're good to go.
Don't be apprehensive about your first time nude in public (yeah, I know, easy for me to say) especially at VVHS. It is about as relaxed as you can get. The folks there are really cool. There will be families, couples and singles. I did not witness one gawker when I visited. You and your wife will be very comfotable for your first time.
You are going to love it.

After looking at the Websites, both locations look great. We have not as yet taken the plunge into public naturist activities (wanted to hit a c/o beach in Florida last summer vacation, but our time was too full of other activities with family to do so), and OLT especially seems to be a good place to start. Since OLT has a daily quota on day use visitors, how likely is it that we will actually be able to get in?

I'll second that for OLT (Valley View HS). Absolutely beautiful country, and the soaks are to die for. No need for bothersome clothes anywhere on the property.
A short nude hike up to 9000 ft puts you at three pools with incredible views of the San Luis Valley.
VVHS is not to be missed.

Your in luck there are 2 places close by.
http://www.olt.org/ I've never been there but here good things about it. Has hot springs and hiking, only problem is space is limited so it may be tough to get a spot on memorial day weekend.
http://dakotahotsprings.com/ Just a plain old hot springs, Good chance I'll be there during the weekend.
