I am actually not a nudist but I always wanted to try it. Anyways I wanted to look for a nudist friend and it's a plus that she is near my age. Also I like friends that are girls better because thye are easier to talk to and if I am honest with a friend and she one day becomes my girlfriend me and her wouldn't have to get to know each other because she already knows me.
Well anyways I found a nudist friend named Annie, I got her IM from her Yahoo answers profile. She started chatting with me and I was polite and said Hi and then I found out she likes the exact things I like which was weird to me, to want to find a nudist to talk to and she have loads of stuff in common with me. Anyways she also like techno music and I do too and some of the songs she listed she liked I listen to those songs. So we exchanged pics, when I saw her I thought she is very beautiful and shes one of the types I prefer, shes a asian girl with long hair. She was like art to me, I respect her, I appreciate her beauty, and she seems like a perfect match for me. She would even help me become a full nudist and I feel like I want to hike with her, play games with her (No not mind or heart games, I mean just having plain fun), and I feel like I want to be by her side.
Anyways she has so much in common with me and I am spiritual and she believes in god but doesn't like to be religious. So me and her have so much in common and I always wanted to have a nudist girlfriend so she can take me to clothing optional places and we could just be natural and we could hang out and listen to music and dance.
Also she has became my friend but she doesn't know after finding out she and me agree more then disagree, that me and her have a lot in common including photography, hiking, outdoors, etc etc. She doesn't know that I like her, and that I feel for her because I feel like I could tell her anything and can be nude around her in the future and she wouldn't think it's weird because shes a nudist. It's rare to find someone with stuff in common and be a nudist too.I wonder if shes my soulmate and will help me become a nudist without fear of my future girlfriend feeling weird or rather be clothed and not accept it and I am on my own feeling lonely.
I wish America could accept nudism and not mix up sex and nudity. Nudity is not sex, it is nudity. Nudity is in art, and in art nude people seem to just not mind that they are nude, while these days it's all related to sex in our society.
I wish America would accept nudism. Anyways back on topic.
What should I do?
Should I just get to know more about her, and then maybe weeks to months later tell her how I feel?
btw Shes in CA, im in NC. I really don't care about long distance because I feel like shes the only girl that could completely understand me and be there for me and help me with my scared to be nudist problem.
Do I sound crazy, it's not lust, I like her because I can be myself around her, and she is pretty too which is a bonus but it's her personality and attitude towards nudism why I like her. |

Wish I had your courage. I DO NOT tell most people I know. Then again, I walk through the mall with - - or - - shirts often. Most people have no idea ... Those who DO just grin or laugh!

Know what you mean, man. Know what you mean. Just like you, I also wonder "what got away" and why I blew it. Oh, well, right?
By the way, I was born and grew up in Pittsburgh, Penna. Moved back there for a while in 1985-1986 and went to Whitethorn Lodge. Good times there, but what a drive. It's REALLY in the middle of nowhere. Worth the drive though.
If you ever pass through Florida again sometime, see you at either - -, Paradise or Lake Como, man!
God, how I wish we both could go back to the 1970s, be young again ... and know what we know now, right? Right!

Lanceat- - I am 52 and grew up in south Florida during my teenage years, your story sounds like my teenage years of being a goofy teen. Even though I dated several girl in high school there was that one that I let slip away, I aways wonder about what I missed out on. As for being a nudist I always wish I would have stayed in south Florida - Ft.Lauderdale, I also wish I would have known about Virginia Beach or McArthur (Air Force beach), but you know back in the 60's and 70's you could find tons of secluded beaches to get nude. And lets not forget about Haulover,Playlinia or Apollo beach now. I wish I was a time traveler I would go back to the 70's. |

Teva & nuderebel above have both given you excellent advice, in my opinion.
Take it from an old timer (age 53), son: TELL HER HOW YOU FEEL ABOUT HER!
Back in 1969 and 1970, when I was a little younger than you are now, there was this one girl I REALLY liked. To get right to the point: I never did tell her that or ask her out. ALL THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL, SHE WAS WAITING FOR ME TO DO JUST EXACTLY THAT!!!
I blew it! Well, don't blow it! Tell her how you feel. From what you say, she seems very cool. Just tell her. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
If she does not feel the same way back, she may feel that way later on. It happens a lot. Tell her how you feel!
Also, as far as social nudity goes: Take the plunge. I was just like you ... scared to really try it. I finally did, at age 29, at - - in Florida. Best thing I ever did.
Get together with her sometime and just go for it. You'll adjust quickly, believe me.
Finally, her state of California is a GREAT place to try out social nudity. Only my state, Florida, compares to California for the opportunities to try it out. Visit her sometime and take the plunge.
When you can afford it, get your gal (the one you're talking about here), fly to Florida and check out - - ... in the summertime ... as they DO NOT heat their main pool.
May as well experience "The Bigtime" in social nudity here in the USA, and - - is it. Of course, many, many other resorts are also most excellent. Just visit some and enjoy!

Save your money and take a trip out to CA. There are a great many nudist places to visit there. You might also visit one of the nudist parks in the Carolinas (since your profile says that's where you are), join one or both of the National organizations (they offer student rates). Socialize with nudists and you'll possibly even find more people, men and women, who you're comfortable with.
