I have been "lurking" on this forum for a couple of weeks to learn more about the naturist lifestyle.
When I read this post, I immediately hit the "reply to" button. Of course I got the register page, which I have, obviously, completed (learnt a lot about cookie blocking in the process!).
The process of registering has (somewhat) dissipated my displeasure of the original post, but I still want to add my thoughts.
While looking through the HUGE resource of this forum, I have been so impressed by the posting from Cheri. To be honest, I haven't been all that conscious of the avitars of each posting but those of Cheri are outstanding in both quality and quantity.
Keep up the good work Cheri. I for one appreciate your experience, honesty, commitment, forthrightness and compassion (amongst others).
This posting catalysed my registration, but if I never contribute to this forum again, I felt I had to make this contribution.
Let me settle down a bit and I will introduce myself in a calmer manner. |

Yes. We have a number a counter spam measures available, with IP blocking being one of the more extreme tools. Sometimes you'd block an IP, but if that IP is being assigned dynamically at dail-up, you'd just ban the next person that gets that IP. We can also ban by username, or by email. Before using any of this, we just see if the person will get the message and quit.

When people say or do things that are not consistent with nudism, they get banned. They come back with a different name, but same game. Is there a way to ban the IP address that person is connecting from instead of the username?

I was going to delete this whole thread, but there are some good posts there. Cheri told me she doesn't have a problem with this thread. We may let it remain to illustrate what our community is all about, and to show the things we sometimes have to deal with.
I know it's hindsight now, but should Joseph ever read this then i would like it to be known that i don't appreciate abusive PM's after backing a member whom i've known of for a very little period of time. I have barely posted here yet i get an unecessary PM from a member who has one heck of an attitude problem. |

I don't know why somebody would insult Cheri, since she takes time out of her probably busy day to tend to the needs of nudists everywhere. She is doing a wonderful job and should keep up with the great work she is doing around this website. |

I was going to delete this whole thread, but there are some good posts there. Cheri told me she doesn't have a problem with this thread. We may let it remain to illustrate what our community is all about, and to show the things we sometimes have to deal with.

I don't like talking behind people's backs, so I'll say what I have to say here:
I've known Cheri online for a few years back. Without her motherly wisdom, gentle encouragement, and sense of humor I never would have become a nudist. I've also met Cheri in real life- a treat for anyone!- and found her real life persona to be exactly like who she expresses herself to be online: sweet, funny, gentle, articulate, and super-devoted to family nudism.
There are not too many people for whom I am willing to say without a doubt that they are trying wiht all their might to better nudism and to be a good example of what nudism is supposed to be. But I will DEFINITELY say that of Cheri.
I suppose she is not perfect, but who is? Certainly not someone starting a thread that spews cruelty at someone who is doing their best and making a difference. Who, I ask you, has REALLY gone out on the line and done what needs to be done to forward nudism? I haven't done very much and I'm betting that most others haven't, either. But Cheri has and will continue to do so. To me, she is a reminder of all that I NEED to do to preserve my precious nudist lifestyle.

I would just like to thank Cheri for all her hard work and say that without her efforts and folks like her we would all be in much worse shape as far as nude recreation. Keep up the good work.
As to the originator of this thread. I've tossed jerks like you off our nude beaches. You'ed best crawl back under the rock you were hiding under before you get stomped.
