If you could start over again (nudism-naturism)-what would you do differently?

My wife has compromised much and has accomplished alot since we became home nudists over 30 years ago. She has progressed into a full fledged nudist and has embraced the lifestyle. She truly enjoys social nudism and our many adventures to new nudists places.

I think if something were to happen to us and I found myself looking for companionship, she'd most definately would either have to be a nudist or at least open minded enough to try it before condemning it. I really don't think I could just give up this way of life. Hope I don't have to experience that. I hope you are successful in finding someone that has those desirable traits you seek...soon.

We wish you luck with your continued search brother nudist.

FireProf,

You're very fortunate to have such a long marriage with an open minded woman, who's willing to try something new. I'd keep her.

Thanks for the well-wishes for my future. But for now, after 28 years in concrete golashes, I'll be very careful about deep water for a while. But I am hopeful. She's gotta be out there somewhere.

I envy those wanting to try over, I'm trying to begin a new life as a naturalist before I depart this world we call Earth. You can't count being born as a first experience because you weren't aware or can you? I sleep anyway I wish as well as my wife.

Actually, my wife doesn't like sleeping nude as she feels cold being undressed in bed. However, she'll go nude on the beach if the weather is warm. She still doesn't consider herself as a full-fledged nudist, but she's looking forward to our return to Club Orient in a few months. It took a while to get to that point, however, and (as FireProf mentioned) if something terrible happened & for some reason I found myself single and looking again I'd want any new woman in my life to be open to nudism. My wife & I never discussed this prior to getting married because at the time I wasn't a nudist (we went to Orient Beach the first time after we were married 5 years).

I would have read for myself much earlier what the Bible doesn't say about nakedness, preferably around my teens.

I would have added to my list of "desirable traits in a spouse" the enjoyment of nudity. My first (and so far last) wife did not even feel that sleeping nude was physically comfortable, let alone an enjoyable experience. What's not to like? If they don't like to sleep nude, they sure aren't going to like sunbathing and swimming nude.

i wish i had been more open about being a nudist. It is surprising just who is either a budding or practicing nudist when you don't hide the fact from people, and also people i grew up with and didn't know were naturists themselves.I also wish i had joined a club or social gathering earlier.Been a nudist since 17 but only joined a club about 4 years ago,i am 41 now.Previously just used to go to beaches and keep pretty much to myself.Nudism is so much more rewarding when you enjoy it with family and friends, like most things i guess.

Cheers KIWI

I would be more militant about it than I was back then. I would probably try harder to "convert" family and friends to a wonderful lifestyle. And I would probably fail again just as miserably

Nudism is something people need to discover for themselves and most will never believe your testimony as to how great it is no matter what.

Oh well...back to the pool for more sun

Take care and ...

Sloboy, You might want to consider one or both of the national organizations to totally find out what is available in your area.

I'm a working product of the late 60's in the SF Bay Area. I was involved in a number of highly classified Government programs/projects which required clearences beyond Top Secret through the early 90's. This meant that my lifestyle had to be beyond reproach. It wasn't until the late 90's that I said "screw-it" and decided to experience being my total self. I went to the Red-White- & Blue Private Clothing Optional beach outside of Santa Cruz and from that day on became hooked on the natural side of being me. I now live in SoCal and have discovered San Onofre and plan on using it as much as I can find time too. I am also a back yard SUN Guy. Would I change anything. Not really! This new decade has opened new vista's to experience and new comraderie to enjoy.

Definately continued to raise our daughters as nudists. We began the lifestyle our wedding night and continued through from then on to a period until we moved from one house to our present. We lost some continuity with our girls, they got to that age and we didn't pick it up after they were through those ackward pre-teen years. They are curious about our lifestyle and remember swimming nude and walking around the house nude when they were younger but amazing what happened after only a couple of years break.

Since I discovered nudism at age 19 and am 56 now, I think I found it at a good point in my life. I do wish I had been raised as a nudist. I did give up my lifestyle while married to my first husband for a few years.

Well, I did take a six month break because all I needed to go back and re-evaluate everything... So i guess I am starting again...

But if I really had the chance to start from a complete clean slate then I would have definitely done more research and not have been as naive as I was in the beginning... I would make sure I had a secure group, or just another individual that was sincere about nudism so that they could tell me the truth about nudism instead of listening to a bunch of strangers...And I definitely wouldn't have taken a lot of crap I did in the past, or allowed things that I allowed in the past that just made me had the nudist lifestyle and hate myself for getting involved...

And that is what I am doing now!!!

Yo!
