This a poem and a topic. There is nothing as beautiful one can see, As a woman naked as can be, Firm of breast and butt and thigh, Set against a burnished sky. Such beauty will never be rivaled by any thing; Whether it be mountain or sky or bounding sea. There is nothing more beautiful........... To this poem I add this old saying--A women is as old as she looks, and a man isn't old till he stops loooking.Does that old saying make me a perv? 'cause I'll never stop looking! What say you ladies? and gentlemen?

Categorically speaking, there are two categories of people: those who say there are two categories of people (or more), and those who don't! :D

I appreciate women. I like the way they look. But I don't make comments, except directly to the lady, and only if I'm acquainted with her, and then with politeness: "You really look nice today." "You have beautiful hands." (Yes, I've said that.)

And if you're going to look, for heaven's sake say something! That will tell the "lookee" that you appreciate her/him as a person, not just as a pretty body. At least, it has in my experience.

Remember, that a lot of it has to do with the culture. When I was in China, I was stared at a lot! I was the big-nosed (that's how they see westerners' appearance) barbarian, 6'4" with a beard. But, in China, it is perfectly okay to stare (and spit, BTW). Once in a while, they did not stare at me and I kind of missed it!

Small children can do a fair share of staring. At least someone can get away with it. But they usually stare into another person's eyes.....and without blinking too!

I agree we put too much emphasis on physical beauty. More important is letting your personality shine through and how you speak to others and interact with them.

Re: opening poem in this topic; my wife says I can look, but not touch. If I stop looking, she'll put the 1st nail in my coffin, if I touch, she''ll put me in the coffin. So boy's keep on looking !!

Regardless of what category it or they may fall in, the poem in the opening of this forum is outstanding and has a lot of meaning. Well done!

Wannabe2:

An apology is in order from me to you. I thought you were making fun of my misspelling of the word, Catagory (ized) etc. I misread "world" as "word" and wanted to get back at you. I am sincerely sorry.

In case you haven't noticed, haven't has an apostrophe in it. People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones.

Nurserobin-answer is B.I have spent most of my life dealing with people.ie. Volunteer on a crisis hot-line and the president of 2 local unions for many years.I believe the forgoing gives me a little more foresight into people.Copperquail in case you havent noticed the world is catagorized. In fact this site is nothing but catagories.Cohort-right on.The person becomes a mirror of the spirit. Some people have that glow, others don't.I look for the glow in ALL.

“He whose face gives no light shall never become a star.”
- William Blake.

Do you think that the body becomes a mirror of the spirit? Or, does the spirit become a reflection of the body?

The other day I heard a fellow say that we love those who have the light of the sun on their face.
