I would first like to say that I am new to nudism but I enjoy it very much . For my school, which just started last week , I have to do a project on some form of social activity so I chose nudism . I need to get some views of nudism from nudists I would like any interesting stories but most importantly, "why you became a nudist?" I ask that you would share this info with me and to help with my report. I thank all that participate. |

Dark Writer,
I was vacationing at a resort in the Caribbean. The first two days were spent on the beach sitting in a soggy swimsuit and being chafed by sand. I signed up for a day boat trip and picnic at a beach on an island away from the resort. As we were leaving, I discovered that the excursion was to an island with a nude beach! I decided to go anyway, thinking no way was anybody getting me out of my suit. I stood firm, and in fact, was the last person to give in and shed my swimsuit - I was the last one to get dressed to return to the resort. Why hadn't someone told me about this sooner? I was hooked, and that was over 30 years ago. The phrase, "nude when possible, clothed when practical," definitely describes me. I do wear at least shoes when vacuuming the house though as I have a habit of running over my toes with the vacuum cleaner.

Melissa, you have come a very long ways in a very short time, and we are all proud of you. I certainly hope your story is not typical.
As far as why I became a nudist, it all started one day on a lonely beach, with loose shorts and a nice breeze. I was sitting on a log watching the waves and the breeze blowing up my shorts felt great. There was nobody around, so I peeled the shorts off. What a feeling, being nude outside on a warm beach... I was never shy anyway, but didn't know any nudists, so it took a little internet searching to find people who liked to shed their clothes without worrying about them wanting to swap wives with me or some of the other stuff you hear about. Now our best friends are nudists, as well as many of our other friends. People just seem to be more open and more honest when they're standing there naked with nothing to hide behind. Good luck on your report.
