Posted - 06/18/2004 : 5:50:55 PM Yesterday I paid a visit to Restful Haven Resort here in Oregon. Temperature was 90 but didn't give a darn because the pool was so nice!! This was the first time in ten years I was able to go and enjoy being nude in an comfortable environment. The reason for the long lapse? My wife isn't in to public nudism (I'm working on it gently). I stopped going after we got married. So being nude around the house, occasionally in the back yard after dark, or skinny dipping at the in-laws farm was all I had, Plus my summers were busy with work. Now that school is out, where I work, and no extra summer employment I have a lot of free time. I told the wife I would like to go to Sauvie's island and sit on the beach. She was okay with that except that possibly I could happen across a student of mine that could wander from the textile area to the nude area. She suggested that I join the local nudist club and go there. What a dear one she is. So I did the AANR membership and went yesterday. I had forgotten how friendly everyone is, ran into an old club member from days gone by. I felt truly relaxed and plan on going there at least once a week for the summer. |

After ten years out of the sun, did you get sunburned?

Posted - 06/19/2004 : 9:16:43 PM How far on the east side do you live? Restful Haven is about 8 miles off of highway 26 just past North Plains. Squaw Mt. is in Estacada which is a bit of a drive even on the east side. I haven't been there in over ten years but I talked to a member the other day and said they have done some improvements and added an above ground pool. They have a pond that they have always used for swimming but always seemed cold. Over all it's a nice place to go and I would call ahead to see what the arrangements are. They have a gate there now and I don't know the operation at all. Too bad about the Mrs. but if she is okay with what you want to do, maybe it's something to work into later down the line. |

Posted - 06/19/2004 : 8:37:47 PM What do you do when the wife refuses to even discuss it? I think Restful Havens is a little too far for someone on the east side. Do you know anything about Squaw Mountain? |
