Cheef, you're thinking along the same lines as I have. Unless I missed it, Snitz doesn't yet have a mod available for special ranking, etc. If they did, I'd still have some work to do since this forum is so heavily modded out already! The more modification, of course the less guarantee that everything will work as you add features. Even so, that's the next one I'd add. 
In any case, this year I'm looking to get more recognition for the best posters somehow. |

Does Snitz Forums allow the creation of "special" ranks (ones based on administrator assignement rather than on number of posts)? If so, are you considering using them? [PHPbb allows such ranks, although I have not used them yet.]

i think folks like vealj and cheri should get some sort of designation since they are very active and knowledgeable.
i find their contributions very informative and think they are very helpful to newcomers.
there are other aanr/tns activists eho appear on the board who could be designated in a certain way.
as far as the rest of us, being a member is good enoughfor me/ dont care about the stars bells, or whistles. will keep participating whether i have stars, umbrellas, or whatever. |

If you need levels,why not a length time that you are a member with a minimum number of posts to make certain levels.Once you hit the top level it just stays the same? I guess the question is do you need levels? Dave... |

Just rethinking things, Dave.
You can still see the number of posts, but I felt the stars and ranking titles were counter-productive. Some other forum operators have come to the same conclusion.
If I could figure out how to do it, I'd reward stars to the best posts, not the most numerous.
A higher quality of information makes this forum a better resource for beginning nudists. I think we're already off to a great start! |
