Posted - 06/13/2009 : 9:12:10 PM First, I apologize if this has been posted before. I searched and didn't see it.
We are a couple in our early 30s. We have become increasingly more interested in the nudist lifestyle as of late. Neither of us has participated, however. We've recently thought about taking vacation soon. It was then that the idea struck. We'd like to find an adults only all-inclusive resort. One that stays true to nudism as opposed to swinging. After searching the web over and over, most of these resorts would have you believe that they are the premier resort. Unable to sift through it all, we decided to join this site.
Which resorts would be best for newbies like us?
Freedom can never be fully appreciated, until it's experienced nude! |

Posted - 04/24/2010 : 2:05:02 PM In the nudist community the term "family oriented" is a euphamism that means it is not a swinger place. It is true that some people bring their kids and don't supervise them. It has caused several problems because we have been confronted by parents when we object to their kid's behavior.
I don't know your location, but there are many first class nudist resorts and can name some all over the U.S. We especially liked Cypress Cove in Florida, White Tail Park in Virginia, Avalon in West Virginia, and several others. We live in California and Laguna del Sol, Glen Eden, and De Anza Springs are very nice. There are many more around the U.S., but since I don't know your locality I can't name them all.
I'm sure you will have a very nice first visit and you will only regret that you haven't done it before.

Nudists are everywhere, but they're hard to identify with their clothes on. |

Posted - 04/15/2010 : 6:46:49 PM The Terra Cotta Inn is located in Palm Springs, California. It is the perfect place for a first time nudist experience. |

Posted - 04/15/2010 : 6:29:09 PM We are from Canada and have no problem going to Cuba. What is the nicest naturist resort with the best food in Cuba (if there is such a thing). Also, are there direct flights to the island that was mentioned?
We are absolutely new to nude resorts but can hardly wait to bare it all. |

Posted - 03/19/2010 : 9:46:23 PM The wife and I like Desire Cancun even though it has lifestylers if you want an all-inclusive, because the lifestylers don't bother us naturists and we have fun there. We have heard that Hidden Beach is the best all-inclusive. If you want the very best first time naturist experience, we HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Terra Cotta Inn. |

Posted - 01/22/2010 : 12:40:45 PM Hi
We met plenty of Americans in Cuba. They all flew from Canada or Mexico, paying cash for that bit of their trip to avoid credit card records.
Cuba is more than happy to welcome Americans. There's no hostility at all. And, no, they don't stamp your passport. Instead you'll be given a slip of paper to keep and to hand back as you leave.
There are few places to strip off, though, and the law says you can't. That's why the main area is on an island. The northern coast is impossible but you'll find coves and beaches along the Caribbean side if you're prepared to walk sandy trails for a while. These aren't paradise beaches, though - they are patches of sand interspersed with rocks. I'm afraid textiles have monopoly of the good beaches!

Posted - 06/26/2009 : 10:59:47 AM Thing you should note Doc ... I have seen lots of US passports there ..the Cubans have no problem with US tourists flying in from Toronto or Montreal ... I would investigate this a bit before trying it but i have for sure seen US passports being passed through without a hitch at Cayo Largo and Holguin ... check it out ..Google it ..ask for other US citizens who have tried it ..CAREFULLY ... *L* |

Posted - 06/26/2009 : 12:38:05 AM It seems more than a little sad that, due to a Cold War hangover, we Americans have for the past 45 years or so been forbidden by our own government to visit the island of Cuba. The Cold War is long since over, and travel to Russia, once Cuba's sponsor, is perfectly permissible, as is travel to "Red China". We fought a war with the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, but you could go there tomorrow if you wanted. The State Department has no objections to a US citizen visiting current and former pariah states such as Libya and North Korea. Even countries openly hostile to us, such as Venezuela are no problem. But Cuba? Not a chance. The issues that led to the embargo and travel restrictions are largely moot by now, and the rest of the world has moved on, but the embargo persists. It makes no sense. Eventually the die-hards in both countries will fade away, and normal relations will resume. Maybe I'll live long enough to visit a clothing-optional resort in Cuba. Wouldn't Guantanamo make a good locale? |

Posted - 06/25/2009 : 10:26:52 PM Unfortunately this is of use to only those who are not from the USA ...The most comfortable mix of textiles, partly nude, and nude beach goers is on the Cuban Island of Cayo Largo . All the Cuban resorts are All Inclusive and either of Sol Cayo Largo or Sol Pelicano are very naturist friendly and have a beach that goes on and on for miles and many of the beach walkers are nude or topless . We have been there 5 times now and it is our place of choice if we just want a nice quiet week, naked in the sun ... [ The resort itself is not C.O. ..just the beach, but I have seen several topless at the pool ). |

Posted - 06/25/2009 : 7:12:31 PM If it's an all-inclusive you're looking for as a first-timer, I'd cast my vote for Hidden Beach. It's easy to get to, isn't brutally expensive, and has decent if not spectacular food. The beach itself is nothing much, but the pools are fine. - - - - is a more spacious resort, but it's a bit more trouble to get to. Neither one would be a bad call. |
