I was here before I registered and was at a thread concerning Las Vegas. Now I can't find it. How can I get back to it?

Really I was asking about clubs in LV and there were some answers.

Yes, FP...we keep trying. We know there is demand there by the number of calls we get asking if we have a place there. It's been frustrating trying to find the right home and hosts to get up and running there. You are correct...the "what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas" mentality seems to be tough to overcome when dealing with prospective hosts. We'll keep trying!

Enjoy the sunshine!

There are already a few "European" pools onto of a few of the larger hotels. What there was, was ... mostly topless women. Guys flocked to these "European" pools and soon ... the guys outnumbered the females by 5 to 1. Then the hotels began charging the guys admission ... I've heard and read that they were charged $75 to enter the pool area. Still ... that didn't discourage these guys BUT ... began discouraging many of the women that had gone to enjoy the day topless with their significant other only to feel she was on display for all those guys up there only to gawk at the topless women.

A C/O resort would have to run as any other C/O venue many of us are accustom to. But as stated ... with the "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" mentality ... it now casts a sexual cloud over what it is we would like to have as nudists to visit and enjoy. How do you keep out the people off the street? How do you monitor all those people and ensure they are there for the right reasons? A much smaller motel, to start with, would work out better and once that one gets up and running, others smaller motels/hotels would follow suit but you're still gonna attract those that are there for the sexual side of nudity and frankly ... we wouldn't partake. I think a Terra Cotta Inn or Living Waters Spa concept would work great in Las Vegas. I know we and our friends would rather stay in a place like that than in a larger resort where we had to be dressed all the time. We'd probably visit Vegas more often!

For now ... when we visit Vegas, which isn't often, we'll make time to head out to the lake and find us a cove to spend the day or just cruise the lake in a rented boat and do some naked boating.

If LV had a CO resort there might actually be a reason for going there (aside from hiking Valley of Fire) :-). You'd think with the amount of traffic that city gets, a well-run CO resort would have a better chance there than most places. It might even attract a lot of first timers, what with the "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" mentality. Even a small rooftop pool area would be welcome; there must be thousands of pools in the city, can't we have just one?

Las Vegas would be a great place to have at club or resort and even better if there was a larger resort like some of those that exist on the strip. But ... as many of you know ... it takes constant high level occupancy to keep a place like that up and running and we'd need nudists to patronize it or ... it could turn sleazy to keep afloat. I think that's what we've seen with some of our resorts and clubs. When members, new and old, stop visiting and paying for day visits or longer stays ... these establishments need to attract some paying customers somehow. They tend to open their doors to whomever's willing to pay.

With regards to Lake Mead. We've spent some time on this lake. We've spent more time on Lake Mohave and even some time on Lake Powell. We've talked with many, many people that we've crossed paths with when we were enjoying these lakes au naturel and they were as well. It's been our personal experience and we've been told by many others that nudity on these lakes is more common than many would think.

We've ALWAYS used the lake in the nude; riding in the boat, houseboats, PWC's or just laying on the beach or laying on a raft near our watercraft. We are discreet but we don't hide what we are doing. Others we've talked to have stated that other lakes they've been on were much the same as these lakes I've listed. You can find an area, cove, beach to set up your things and get naked. If someone comes along and sees you, they will either join in or make a U turn and find another place to anchor.

I've always gotten up from our blanket or chairs and walked out to the boat or PWC's when a boat was approaching our section of a cove or beach and a few times ... the boats have continued in, the people smile and wave and beach their craft. Later when I took the Seadoo out for a spin ... I returned to find that those same people were enjoying their section of the cove or beach in the nude as well.

We've passed too many boats, waverunners, houseboats with naked people on them to count. I think the Rangers on the Patrol boats know this and as long as you're not bothering anyone or being lewd, they don't hassle you. They seem to be focused more on those that are drinking and driving the boats.

There are plenty of spots to anchor or beach your watercraft on Lake Mead and make your own nude beach without worry or being hassled. We've been quite fortunate, as well as others we've talked to about going about this.

Oh, fine! Even though Las Vegas is devoid of any sort of C/O or nudist resorts, they tolerate all sorts of sleazy sex-oriented enterprises. And now this ...

This is beyond ridiculous. A well-run C/O resort in LV would make a killing, but apparently the locals prefer porn.

Not sure if there are still a few beaches along Lake Mead that tolerate nudity. Was there last summer and found a deserted spot got in some sunbathing for a few hours. It wasn't "nudist friendly" per say..just deserted.

The site's Search function is a little clunky, but it should eventually turn up what you want.

The Las Vegas Bares are a non-landed club. Other than that, good luck. Many people have commented on the amazing lack of nudist or C/O facilities in the LV area. Apparently the political climate is willing to tolerate swinger clubs, strip shows, gambling, and brothels, but a clothing optional resort? Out of the question.
