Posted - 02/11/2005 : 7:32:42 PM I was wondering how many people have noticed the icon near the bottom right of the pages? Did you know this was the short-cut to the top of the page?
Here's another one, recently fixed. Before hitting the Post button, try the spell checker (looks like ).
Feel free to add a few more suggestions for our new (and not so new) members, so everyone can enjoy all the features of this forum!
(You can point out icons like I did by right-clicking on the icon, selecting Copy Image Location (or something similar) and in your message use the button, then paste between the two tags. Hey, you're a programmer!)

Posted - 12/07/2007 : 4:21:46 PM However, try not to "quote" everything. Remove parts of the quote not needed, so your post isn't cluttered with quotes within quotes.
Also, if you are just replying to the last post in a thread, there is no need to quote, people will figure out who you are replying to.
I removed the nested quotes from the proceeding "thank you", for instance.
Too many quotes where not really needed just clutter up the forum, and it's harder to read. |

To answer a note to include part of the note that you want to respond to, click on the tiny piece of paper icon with the arrow. The reason your messages might be appearing a number of pages away from the note is that it's been quite a while since the original post or it's an active subject. Cheri

Posted - 05/06/2007 : 05:35:56 AM Glad you enjoy the site. I really enjoy it personally, and I feel gratitude that we had the opportunity to think of it first and create it for you folks. Hmmm, I wonder what's next?
Here's another tip: You can always go back and edit your posts. We trust you to do the right thing and only 'clarify' not 'alter' your statements. Very few people choose to play silly games with that. Use the button within any of your posts to edit them.
And here's another one: To see all your previous posts and topics, try using your My Page area under Members Menu. You can also experiment with using a different theme there, using Edit Page.
Caution when changing themes: Important! Click 'Apply Checked Options' before changing Theme the first time! Needed on initial use only. If ERROR, see here. |
